[Normal POV]

Sonic's ears flicked in anger as he walked away from the ebony behind him. He was more mad at himself though then mad at Shadow. He couldn't believe he just spat out at him like that! He knew they were rivals but a hero should have better control! Right...better control...

Sonic stopped walking and looked over to Tails before walking over. The azure hedgehog took a deep breath before stopping behind the to tailed fox. "Hey buddy!" Sonic called giving a small smile.

Tail's ears twitched and he stopped turning the wrench in his hand and pulling it away from the bolt before looking up to him. Giving a large smile he quickly put down the wrench onto the sandy ground which he was sitting on. "Hey Sonic! Something up?" Sonic only shook his head and pulled over a chair to sit down in it. "No, I just got out of another fight with you know who..."

Tail's nodded and turned his body away from his technology to look fully at his friend. "Yeah I know who you're talking about, but Sonic I know you guys are rivals and all but do you have to both be so bitter around each other?" He asked both of his tails flicking back in forth.

Sonic huffed and crossed his arms "Yeah, try picturing us getting along" he stated ears flicking foreword. Tail's only laughed "It would be strange yes...but just think. Maybe it would be better to at least try and get along?"

The azure hedgehog looked back down to his buddy and let out a sigh. Letting his arms drop down into his lap. "I mean...I guess I could but I can't speak for Shadow.".

Tail's only nodded and then turned back to the thing he was working on, as he picked up his wrench once again. "That is true, anyways like I said try"

The azure slumped his arms foreword seeing that the fox before him wanted to continue doing what he was before. "Yeah alright..." He got up and dragged the chair back to were it was originally. "I'm going to go see what Stick's his doing." "Alright." Was all he got in reply.

Sonic's ears fell a little before he walked off and over in the direction of Stick's. Who seemed to be jumping around the sand for some weird reason. "Ahhh! Stop following me!" Sonic raised a eyebrow and looked around to only find that he was the only one there. "Er Stick's I'm not following you though... I just wanted to see what you were doing."

Stick's quickly turned around to see Sonic. "Ay, I wasn't talking about you I was talking about that!" She yelled pointing down to he shadow. The azure looked down and chuckled. "Stick's-".

"Its always following me around!" "Stick's that's you're shadow"

She looked back up to him after she was done glaring at the shadow over the sand. "Er what?" "A shadow, its supposed to follow you around. See I have one as well." He stated as he pointed to his own. She jumped up. "OH NO ITS FOLLOWING YOU AROUND TO!" She yelled as she jumped into Sonic's arms and started pulling on his bandana "WHY WONT IT GO AWAY!?". The hero flinched at the loud voice she was using and his ears fell back slightly.

Carefully he removed her hands from his bandana and forced her to stand back on the ground normally. "Erm... I'm going to leave you here and go see if Amy needs me..." He stated as he lifted his hands and slowly backed away. All Stick's did was start jumping around in the sand again trying to land on her shadow but failing. After he was clear free of that he ran over to Amy.

Who was just sitting down by a fountain and watching knuckles play ball with himself. Sonic stopped right next to her and looked over to the echidna. Knuckles kicked the ball into the air and ran over going to hit it but missed and fell into the sand. "Ah come on!" He yelled. Sonic's ears twitched "How long has he been doing this?" Amy kept her gaze on the red furred echidna as she answered, "Before you came, about a half a hour." She stated before taking a sip of water out of the cup she was holding.

Sonic only sat down on the fountain ledge next to her and watched as Knuckles went to kick the ball and instead slipped falling on his back. "You got any more water?" He asked still looking at the echidna.

Amy nodded, "Of course I do." She stated as she leaned over and picked up a cup filled with cold water. She handed it over to the azure hedgehog next to her. Sonic thanked her before drinking half of it in a few gulps. "Hey when do you think the last time Eggman showed up today was?" "Um.... Well Knuckles started to do this the last time we finished fighting so a half a hour ago."

The hero nodded as he took another drink of cold water. "So then he will most likely show up again some time soon." She nodded "Yup"

Sonic sat up and finished his water before placing it down onto the edge of the fountain were he was just sitting. "Or maybe he finally realised he just won't win."

Amy shook her head at that and finally made eye contact with her former crush. "No, you know how he is. He's never going to give up until he dies." Sonic gave a small chuckle.

"Yeah well, the old mans going to pass away faster if he keeps doing the things he's doing know.". "Sonic!" Amy yelled and playfully hit his arm, which he winced at. "Don't say things like that!" She exclaimed.

The azure only gave a fake smile and laugh "Sorry but its true!" She huffed "It may be but you still don't go around saying that! Be nice!" Sonic only shook his head. "Alright sorry Ames."

She finished her water before she answered "Its fine."
