Heat Game
"Get the popcorn" I called to Justin as I made my way into the living room and fell onto the couch. Justin chuckled from the kitchen and I heard the microwave beep to life. I greeted him with a smile when he returned to my side and threw his arm around me. I giggled, flicking up the volume of the TV. We could hear the loud pops from the microwave as the game began and we watched with interest.
After Justin had retrieved the popcorn we fell into silence as we both payed a large amount of attention to the game. Justin would occasionally kiss my cheek or rest his head on my shoulder but it was HUGELY distracting. We both watched until the game was over and Justin pulled away from me with a grin.
"What?" I asked as I watched him smirk playfully. Justin raised an eyebrow as he stood up, grabbed the empty bowl and made his way to the kitchen. I laughed as I watched his swing his arms as he headed into the kitchen and started to tidy up. I giggled as I followed him, peeking around the corner slightly so I could watch what he was doing.
He was merrily humming to a song playing on the radio, a Beyonce one, would you believe it. He was throwing everything back into its rightful place as he swept his hands across the counters, cleaning away. I smirked, watching him before he turned to me and waved me towards him.
"Come here [Y/N]" he smiled softly and I stepped around into the kitchen, joining him at the counter. Justin grinned and grabbed my waist, hoisting me onto the counter top and standing in between my legs. He grinned. "I have an idea" he smirked proudly.
I raised an eyebrow. What with the position we were in, that "idea" could be anything. I looked at him confused and before I could ask what he meant, Justin beamed. "How about I take you to a live game?"
I froze. Justin has known that I've always wanted to go to a game but Heat games were really expensive. My eyes widened as I stared at him and he just chuckled at my reaction. "Seriously?" I laughed, my eyes only widening when Justin nodded. I screamed, throwing my arms around him and pulling him against me so I could hug him tighter. Justin let out a rapid breath before hugging me in return. We both stayed like that for a while as I giggled before we pulled awake and I pulled his lips to mine.
2 weeks later
Today, was the Miami Heat game I'd been waiting weeks for and to say I was excited was the biggest understatement of the week. I slipped into a suitable outfit that I thought was cute
Justin was almost as eager as me to get going and was repeatedly calling for me from downstairs. I giggled as I finished my hair, which was really hard to keep in place might I add, and then finally made my way downstairs. Justin was waiting rather impatiently at the bottom and when he saw me, his face lit up. I blushed when his eyes widened at the sight of me and his grin widened. His eyes traveled over my outfit before he finally opened his mouth. "You look... beautiful [Y/N]" he smiled as I joined him at the foot of the stairs. He took my hand and together we walked to his car.
The drive wasn't awkward, just quiet. Me and Justin were THAT sort of couple. We could sit in comfortable for the majority of the day without feeling awkward or without feeling the urge to speak. We had this special connection, we could talk with just our eyes.
When we arrived, the entire place was swarmed with paps. I guess they found out through someone that Justin had booked the tickets. We jumped out of the car and met one of Justin's bodyguards at the back entrance before we rushed towards our seats on the front row in an attempt to go as unnoticed as possible but cameras instantly followed our path. Justin sighed and asked the bodyguard to move them aside and he easily stepped in front of Justin and guided them aside so we could reach our seats. I felt slightly our of place, knowing everyone knew it was us now.
After around 10 minutes, the arena died down and Justin and I moved to sit comfortably, my head leaning against his shoulder and his arm wrapped tightly around my shoulder. He slowly pulled his shades from his eyes as the game started and set them at his side, leaning down to plant a kiss on my forehead. I smiled, snuggling into him as the match began.
I watched intently as the game played out in front of me, eventually sitting up beside Justin with my hand on his leg. He did the same, his fingers gently rubbing my knee as we watched the game. It was then that our team scored and me and Justin shot out our seats like many others and cheered loudly. Justin laughed as he sat back down, a massive smile gracing his lips. I giggled, touching his cheek gently, gaining his attention, before turning back to the game. When we reached half time and grinned and lent over to hug Justin. He smirked, leaning down to kiss me softly and just as his lips met mine, our faces were all the big screens.
After 4/5 years of this, you'd expect people to finally accept Justin but apparently they didn't as the second his face was shown across the arena, a chorus of boos began to spread into an entire hall full. Both of us pulled away in confusion and when he noticed he was on the big screen and he was what they were booing at, Justin lent back in his seat with a sigh, grabbing his water and taking a big gulp as I looked around at the haters angrily.
Once the game finished, Justin and I hurried out and into the car, not saying a word to the people shouting, whether they were beliebers or not. I decided to drive considering Justin was upset and he was a very impulsive person, sometimes he could be a bit shaky at the wheel when he was emotional. I sighed, clicking in before I drove us on our way home.
Throughout the journey home, I saw Justin's eyes water. His sunglasses may have been on but he was upset and his tears were easily visible. I groaned, pulling out of the road and down a bumpy and uneven mud road. Justin's head shot up and he furrowed his eyebrows. "Where are we going?" he whispered, eyes glued to the road ahead of him.
I pulled off of the road and stopped the car, turning to him angrily. "Why are we here [Y/N]
I shrugged. "The real question is, why do you let the haters get to you?" I asked, a tear threatening to fall down my eye. I shook my head, refusing to be upset over this- I was more angry than anything.
Justin raised an eyebrow. "I dont. I jus-"
"No", I cut him off, "you do! You let them walk all over you! Stop it and forget the haters. Remember the beliebers. Remember those who are here for you. You have more people that love you than you do that hate you so stop it!"
Justin thought about it for a second. He nodded slowly, eyes glassy as he took his shades off. I smiled softly as I kept my eyes on his eyes. Justin sighed, wiping a tear from the corner of his eye. "I love you, you know that right [Y/N]?"
I grinned. "I do. And I love you too" I giggled, leaning over to kiss him before we drove home.
