EVE

Eve sprawled face down on her bed, stripped down to nothing but her panties, her skin still tingling from the day's exertions. The shopping spree with Lorie had been exhausting—too many layers of clothes, too much walking, and far too many bags. Now, with her cheek pressed into the soft pillow, her arms splayed, and her hair bunched in her hands, she could finally cool off. The weight of the day melted into the mattress, and the cool air kissed her bare skin.

A knock came at the door. Eve groaned but didn't move, figuring Drogo was coming to complain about being left to care for Lorie. She wasn't in the mood for his antics. 'He can wait,' she thought, ignoring the sound, but instead of a second knock, the door creaked open, followed by a startled gasp.

Eve: Ah!

She shrieked, bolting upright, yanking the comforter over her bare skin. Her eyes locked onto Nicolae standing frozen in the doorway. His usually calm, collected face turned a shocking shade of crimson.

Nicolae: I—uh—I'm—

Nicolae stammered, his eyes wide before he spun around, shutting the door with a swift, mortified thud. Eve, heart still racing, quickly grabbed a long t-shirt from her dresser and slipped it over her head.

Eve: You can come in now.

Eve: You can come in now

The door creaked open again, much slower this time, and Nicolae stepped inside, avoiding eye contact like a guilty schoolboy.

Nicolae: I sincerely apologize, Eve. I didn't know you were—indisposed.

Eve leaned against her dresser.

Eve: Well, you could knock and wait next time.

She smirked, enjoying his obvious discomfort and noticing the way his usually composed demeanor faltered. Nicolae's pale cheeks still glowed red, and he cleared his throat awkwardly.

Nicolae: It was... a lapse in judgment. I—

Eve crossed the room and stood before him, a playful glint in her eyes.

Eve: Was it really that urgent?

Her tone dripped with mock concern as she lightly brushed her fingers against his flushed cheek.

Eve: Or did you just want a peek?

Nicolae recoiled slightly, his expression somewhere between embarrassment and disbelief.

Nicolae: Eve, I—I'm truly sorry. That was not my intention.

Eve: Oh, relax! I'm just messing with you.

She laughed, stepping back, her hands raised in surrender. Her grin widened when his tension didn't ease. Nicolae blinked, at a loss for words. For a brief moment, he actually looked like he might smile, but instead, he shook his head, exhaling slowly.
