The white and red candy maid snuck through the castle, careful not to wake a certain blonde human or cat.
Her footsteps echoed quietly through the big halls as she approached the door of the room where the future demon king would be in slumber.
"Gently now," she slowly reached up and turned the brass nob, knowing that the most silent of noises was enough to wake the beast.
The door did not make any noise as it opened slowly for the maid to sneak in before closing again. Reaching for the dagger that she was given, she snuck up to the foot of his bed where he would be, hoping that he had decided to sleep there and not on the roof that night. As she quietly climbed the bookshelf beside the bed she looked down for him, ready to punce. But only confusion crept up when she found he was not there. Assuming that he was on the roof she scanned her surroundings but still didn't find him.
She clasped the specialy-made demon dagger a bit harder into the palm of her hand. She had been given specific instructions to deal with the vampire king that night. She was surely going to be in trouble for not accomplishing her mission. With a frustrated hiss, the peppermint maid scurried back down the shelf and slid out the bedroom door as if she had never entered it.

Marshall and Fionna hadn't bothered getting up out of the water. This was a moment that neither of them wanted to forget. "Im so happy you said yes." Marshall laughed relieved and rubbed his head as they were laying on their back in the shallow water. "What else were you expecting?" Fionna replied with a smile. He shrugged. "I dunno. It was so lame i just assumed you would laugh and stab me before walking away." She laughed before leaning a bit more into him. "It was a cute lame. And i wouldn't stab you without a legitimate reason." She said with closed eyes, trying not to fall asleep.
"We should go back." Marshall said finally. Finding that he was also fighting slumber. She nodded sleepily and just managed to raise her head before the two of them got to their feet and walked back up the small hill that they had rolled down. Marshall picked her up bridal style and flew back the the candy kingdom.

It took Cake some convincing to believe that they were just out to get some fresh air an that they hadn't strayed from the kingdom. Though it was difficult hiding their happiness and several times Gumball eyed them suspiciously as they smiled and laughed about the previous night.

For breakfast they all met up in the dining room to eat at the 50 seated table that stretched for most of the room. "Oh Peppermint Maid," Gumball summoned his most trusted employee and smiled as she approached with cute, quiet steps. "Yes, your majesty?"
"Please fetch our guests some of that marvellous cheesecake that they missed out on last night." She nodded and walked out of the room before returning with several plates balanced on her arms. She handed them to Cake, Fionna and finally Marshall. They each thanked her in their own ways before digging into the delightful-looking snack. Just as the demon king began sucking his red-dry, the maid reached under her apron and gripped tightly a certain demon blood dagger.
