When Paths Collide (Ben 10/ Danny Phantom)

It took almost thirty minutes to get to Ben's house, mainly because Gwen kept demanding to get fast food from some place called Nasty Burger.

Which, indeed, was very nasty.

Ben pulled up to his house, inwardly groaning at the low fuel light on his car. His mom was going to kill him, and his dad probably burn him alive.

Gwen was the first one out of the car, folding her seat back so Danny and Sam could get out. Well, Danny getting out was an understatement. Sam almost had to drag his limp body across the seats.

But, they managed to get into the house without Ben's parents questioning them, which was a lifesaver.

Danny was awake enough to walk up the stairs, where the four departed to their separate rooms.

Ben slightly smiled, pointing to the door farthest down the hall. "That's my room. I got some stuff we could use for research."

Danny and Ben went into the room, throwing their backpacks onto Ben's bed, forgotten. Ben turned to the computer on his desk, pressing the power button on the tower and typing in his password. "I already have a few things covered on King Arthur. But, I might need your help to-" A collective snore filled the room, and Ben turned around to see Danny sprawled onto his bed, Ben's backpack sitting under his arm like he didn't have the energy to move it.

Ben sighed, clicking on his web browser. "Good talk."

After a few minutes, Ben managed to find a legitimate site on King Arthur. He grinned to himself, wiped clean by a girly squeal from the hall. He printed the page, setting it on his desk and walking over to his backpack, attempting to pull it out from under Denny's arm.

Suddenly, Ben froze. The Omnytrix became active, lighting up just like it did in class. Except, the beeping sound was much more prominent. Ben furrowed his eyebrows, waving it over Danny's still arm. The light started to become even more brighter, his aliens beginning to slowly switch over the screen before his eyes.

Ben was barely managing to hold in the gasp from his lips. "It's you."

Suddenly, Danny shot up, his eyes wide like he was startled. "What's m-"

Ben held up a hand, stopping Danny from speaking. "Hold on." His watch was becoming even more erratic, the green light spinning furiously and the beeping almost earsplitting. He held it up to Danny's torso, who shied away viciously like it shocked him.

The watch's spinning increased profoundly when it touched Danny's skin, and Ben looked up, shocked just as Danny tackled him to the ground, his forearm pressed against Ben's throat with a surprise amount of strength.

"Who are you?" He demanded, and then Ben noticed the glowing green orbs that replaced Danny's cool blue ones.

"Who am I, who are you?" Ben shot back, using the floor as leverage to activate the Omnytrix.

And of course, the teenager has never been known for his luck.

Danny literally jumped two feet in the air when Ben just disappeared, like he seeped through the floor.

Then..But..No. No no no no.

"Aww man," something said, and Danny spun around almost in a blur.

"Where are you?"

"Ughh, down here."

Danny looked down at the floor, his eyes going wide when he backed against the wall. There was this grey..thing in the middle of the floor, it's eyes almost as big as it's head.
