Personality: Jake's personality is a mystery and he tends to act differently all the time. This can be noted by the fact he acted shy around others at first and barely made interactions with them. But since that time he has changed from that shy demeanor somewhat. Jake is known for having a prince-like manner, as well as his calm and collected nature, in addition to being very caring. However, despite that prince-like personality of his, he can also be very scary, especially when upset. Jake is perceptive of the feelings of others, but is also somewhat reclusive, being called anti-social by people that have tried to get to know him.

HISTORY
Jake and Harumi's father Mark Genji was born on the Weeping Isle (Known as Jade Isle a year after Jake and Rumi were born). He came to Ninjago in search of answers about his great great grandmother, Aoi Himari, but found no records of her. He met Daphine Valentine, a librarian for the Ninjago Library. Over time they fell in love, married, and had a set of twins. Harumi was born first, making her older, while Jake was born last, marking him younger. Their parents loved the twins with all their heart. The two grew up in a loving home enjoying time together with their parents, whether it be playing outdoors or enjoying quality time inside.
Jake and Harumi grew fond of watching the Ninja anytime they came up on the news. Both children got dolls of Cole, Zane, Jay, and Kai. Their father handmade a doll for the rumored green ninja. They played with those dolls all of the time. Jake always kept the Earth ninja and Lightning ninja dolls close, refusing to go anywhere without them.
During the day of the Great Devourer Jake and Harumi had been playing together, each using their Ninja dolls. The young boy got tired however and went to their shared room to rest. When their parents came back to the living room, Rumi was playing in front of the TV alone. They figured Jake had gone out of the apartment to find a friend of his, he always did around that time anyhow.
Then the horror came when the building began to break apart due to the Great Devourer rampaging through the city. Their parents reacted quickly and got Harumi out and to safety, unaware their son had not left that apartment. Jake woke to the horrors of having been left alone. He'd grabbed a backpack that he was supposed to take to a friend's apartment. He wasn't able to leave through the door, it was blocked from the outside. The young boy rushed over to the window. It was now his only exit. It was either try to climb down or hope that a ninja was close by and saw him.
