Chapter 20: Inside Your Case

When I was about to open the door which I assumed led outside I saw something that made me freeze on my place. It was a photo, a beautifully framed moving photo, of me. I remember it like it was yesterday. We were taking photos for a yearbook at Hogwarts in our third year.

I actually had all five photos of Y/n from every year that I had at Hogwarts. As Y/n grew older her smile on the photos became smaller and smaller until it disappeared completely from her beautiful face.

Next to the photo of me stood two photos of her. At the first photo, Y/n was wearing a beautiful dress. I have never seen her wearing a dress, or a skirt. I mean, it is what makes her Y/n. But I would really want to see her in a dress some day.

At the second photo, she was wearing a military uniform. Did she fight in a war? On the photo she was wearing a helmet and her hair where short, like Tina's. But it really doesn't matter what she wears, she looks amazing in everything.

Finally I kicked myself out of my thoughts and opened the door of the shed. What I saw outside made me drop my jaw. There, outside, was an incredible wold. Safe world for all creatures, created by Y/n.

Fwoopers were flying around as I walked further into the case, followed by Mr. Kowalski, who I completely forgot about. A couple of Doxys and Billwigs buzzed around my head as looked around, totally amazed.

The first habitat that I saw was North-European forest, a Unicorn habitat.

Suddenly, I heard roaring and barking and started looking for the source of the sound. When I looked to the side I saw a Crup barking at me.

"Twinkie, Twinkie...Twin, stop barking!" I heard Y/n's soft voice command.

And then I saw her. She was sitting on the ground with her eyes closed at the entrance of a cave in the embrace of a dragon. I just stood there thunderstruck staring at this incredible woman before me. The Common Welsh Green Dragon started lowly roaring at me as well.

"What is the matter with you two?" Y/n asked clearly confused.

She obviously did not notice me yet. The Crup was still barking and the dragon roaring.

"Twinkie, Puffskein, stop it, sto..." Y/n was saying but stopped suddenly when our eyes met.

She quickly looked away, lifted the dragons head from her lap and stood up.

"Newt, what... what are you doing here?" She asked.

"I... I..." I tried to say but it felt like I forgot how to speak.

As I was opening and closing my mouth like a fish, Y/n picked up her Crup and whispered something into its ear. As soon as she did so the Crup stopped barking, followed by the dragon.

"Newt, what are you doing here?"

"I... I came to ask for help... with finding my creatures." I finally managed to say.

"I thought that I made it clear that I'll help you, Newt." She said while bending down and setting the Crup on the ground.

"Twinkie, this is Newt."

I bent down to greet the little creature.

"Hello... hello." I said while Twinkie sniffed my hand.

She let out a happy bark and started jumping on me and licking my face. Then the happy magic dog laid down on her back and I patted her stomach. Y/n smiled and laughed slightly. Oh Merlin, how I missed her laugh.

"She likes you." Y/n said looking at me for a moment.

"You have a case, you have a case full of creatures?" I said.
