Chapter 18

She thinks she can just decide to come back into the picture and take away my children and I will let it happen, then she has another thing coming to her because when I am done, she wont know what hit her.

I take out my phone to call my own personal lawyer, that bitch Elaine doesn't know it now but I have evidence against her that can take her to jail for the rest of her life for attempted murder and child abuse, neglect, I will send her away for a long time.

The call was a short one, I had set up plans in place for this scenarios and I had always thought I had never seen the last of her and I was right. I am just angry that she thought she could take my kids away, she made the wrong move and I don't care who is sponsoring her in this sheer feet of stupidity but I will take them all down.

My inner monologue is cut short when I heard the door bell ring. I don't know who that is, I mean no one was supposed to come here today and im supposed to leave to get the kids in thirty minutes.

I get downstairs to open the door and the person I see at the other side brings back all the anger I have managed to push back. I am greeted with the evil smirk of the woman that gave me the most important people in my life. The bitch that wants to take away my kids.

She barges into the house when I don't make a move to let her in.

"I can see you have gotten my notice for custody of the kids? I will like us to negotiate this in private before we take this to court." She has a look of triumph on her face. She probably thinks that she has won.

"You will do no such thing, and you will leave my house this instant, we have nothing to talk about. I will see you in court." She stands straighter at that, probably not expecting me to react that way. She has got another think coming if she thinks I will cower away and give her all that she has demanded for. That is not who I am and that is not how I became who I am today.

My name is Jace Cormack and I built myself up from nothing and I wont let anyone push me around especially when it comes to my kids.

"I see you don't want to settle this like adults, we can avoid all that court nonsense if you just give me what I want. We never really shared the money after our divorce. I was cheated out of my rights for gods sake, I married you I need to be compensated. I carried those bastards you call children and ruined my beautiful body so that you can be happy and in turn make me happy but you ruined my chances. I left with nothing. After everything I have been through with you and the kids, I left with nothing. Did you really think I would just take that lying down, I am going to make sure you regret it."

She moves closer to me, maybe to make herself look more threatening and if not for the fact that I am so bloody angry I would have laughed because she is just a tiny little thing trying to make herself bigger than she actually is.

"The bastards are just the beginning. I want to bring you to tears." She cackles like a psychotic maniac.

"I heard you got some bitch pregnant, how is that working out for you." That was the last straw. No one talks about my baby that way.

"Now you listen here you vapid snake, you will leave this house, stop messing with my family and go quietly never to be heard from again or you stay, keep trash talking the most important people in my life and see who gets burned."

I take a threatening step towards her so she would know who the boss is around here.

"You come into my house and threaten my family and think you are going to walk away from this." Every word is emphasised with a step forward while she moves backward still trying to put up her façade it wasn't until she ran out of places to go to and hit the wall behind her,

"You have messed with me and my family for the last time and I am done taking it easy on you." I take her hand and forcefully remove her from my house.

"I'll see you in court." I said slamming the door on her terrified face.

Once the door is shut I make my way to my room to get changed so I could go and pick up the kids early, who knows what she will do now. I have made my move, its time to sit back and see how she is going to react. She has the tendency of acting rashly and I need to get my children away from the crossfire. I don't want them involved in this war between me and their birth giver.

I take my keys, get in my car and make my way to the school. I go to the principal's office. We are acquaintances and I need him to excuse my kids from school for sometime.

"Mr Cormack, the principal will see you now." I nod getting up to go into the office.

"Jace, how are you doing." He gets up to give me a bro hug.

"Hi Aaron, I'm good just a few bumps here and there." Once the pleasantries are all done, we take our sits.

"What brings you to my office man." He waits for me to answer, giving me all his attention.

"Well I need to pull my kids away from school for a little while."

"What's the reason, we can't really do that unless we have something to go and we can keep their attendance intact so it would not affect their record." I was really hoping not to say but he is my friend and also the principal of this school.

"Well their mother, my ex-wife Elaine wants to fight me for custody of the kids and she can do anything to get back at me including doing something to hurt my kids and I am not willing to take that chance. They are not safe anywhere but with me until the whole case is over, as far as I am concerned, that woman is a loose canon." I stop talking when I realise that I'm ranting but he is listening to me I guess I really needed someone to talk to.

"Woah man, tough break, sure take the kids and I will send my assistant with their assignments and if possible get someone to home school them for this period of time till its all over." My face shows a look of relief, not that I was afraid that he would say no but because I knew that he understood me and the way this all could affect my children.

"Sure man I would like that." I get up to shake his hand and he gets up with me, we bro hug and I begin to make my way out of his office when he calls out to me.

"Yo Jace, its been a long while since we went out with the guys to hangout. Lets do that sometime, don't be a stranger." I smirk at him.

"Sure man, but not anytime soon I have a full plate but maybe after this whole thing blows over." With that I leave and pick up my children.

"Hi daddy." Says Alfie when I go to his class to pick him up.

"Hey buddy, how was school?" he hugs my legs fiercely and I could feel the affection. God I love my kids.

"School was fine, we learned the opposites of some words, it was so cool." I pick him up and give him a big kiss on his forehead.

"But what are you doing here, school is not over yet?" Smart boy.

"Uhh well I came to pick you up so we can go get Honey from the hospital together, we gonna pick up your brother and sister too." He jumps excitedly in my arms.

"We are gonna pick up Honey, from the hospital!! So he is coming back home with us?" He says happily.

"This is the best day ever."

"Yeah I know, I am happy too. Come on lets go."

We get into the car and drive to the day care to get the kids, but when we get there, everything was in CHAOS.

Hi guys, if I were to describe this whole chapter in onw word, it would be CHAOS.
