7.1: How to Understand the Complicated.

Start from the beginning

"Why would you say that?" 抖阴社区r asked this time, starting to understand Questioner's curiosity.

"Well, it had come up in a discussion once, about our worries and such, and they brought up a fear called 'Athazagoraphobia', which I'm guessing you know the meaning of?"

Questioner knew it all to well, and knew that it could drive you to extreme paranoia to make sure that the fear never became a reality. However, he was surprised to hear Wynter assume that he knew, "How come you believe I knew what it meant?"

"Your eyes. Your perception of the world is close to that of Project's, but with more sympathy and hope. Project had discarded most of that hope after many things went against them. Group rivalries, broken families, and no sign of getting great grades started to change their view of the world."

"Let me guess: They saw too much evil in the world? Sounds too much like a story of a character." 抖阴社区r complained, having seen so many cliched stories like it, but Wynter was quick to give a question which for some reason made both the gentlemen shudder:

"Surely we're all characters, if you think about it. We all have a story, we all have evil and villainy, and we all have character arches that could end in good or bad. So why suddenly believe that they weren't a character of a story, when you two can also be classed that exact way?" After leaving both of the gentlemen speechless, Wynter continued.

"Sorry about that. Anyways, Project was slowly beginning to distance themselves, and unfortunately it was at that time where all my travel plans were sealed. I would've offered for them to tag along, but... Well, silly things can get in the way.

"However, I didn't leave them alone completely.

"After reading their letter, I had written a letter back, mentioning how I did feel bad, but was also glad to have met them. They had helped me through feelings of nostalgia, and by the sounds of it they didn't even know how helpful they had been. People say kindness comes from strange places sometimes, and this was one of those times I didn't mind seeing. Eventually, things went quiet, and then the next thing I know, I receive a message through social media from 'Projector_404'. I noticed immediately by their speech pattern, and their context, that it was Project, and we had begun talking once more.

"That was until the last message they had sent me, around a month before The Incident. This message had not only told me Project's idea, but also that The Incident was their own doing, and that they were about to initiate the Practical side of 'My TRUE Finale'."

抖阴社区r stopped writing, "Hang on, so Project's Finale plan had multiple stages?"

"Yes, and I'm afraid you two are the final chapter for it all. You see, Project had messaged me, around three weeks or so after our last conversation, asking how many times people had lied to them. I didn't really understand why they suddenly messaged me, but apparently they had messaged others as well, to see if 'stories match up'. They said that they were messaging multiple people the same question, to see if responses are similar or different. I never got their results, but I assume it wasn't good. I had asked them if they wanted to talk about it, but they messaged me saying, 'I am sorry to say, but I do not know if I should tell you anything big about this before it is all cleared up, as I do not know if someone you know could lie, or if I should have suspicions about you as well'."

抖阴社区r took note of the speech pattern, each word spoken directly, no short cuts, perhaps Pessimist had taken their account?

However, that couldn't be the case, Project was also Pessimist anyways, and based on how secretive Project had been, he couldn't believe that they would give a mad man their personal account.
