WARNING : DO NOT READ IF YOU DON'T WANT TO BE SPOILED FOR PART 5
I tried to make it as in character as possible but how the fuck else are you supposed to get close to this man?
I realised I never mentioned your stand properly in this book so flashback /context alert lmao, Kujo's got a crush the fuckin nerd. I would have bullied him so bad yano 😂😂You had met Jotaro twelve years prior. One of the Foundation's best spies as well as a stand user, it was only logical you ran into each other during his projects with the company. As the months passed, he clocked onto a weird feeling he hadn't really experienced before. When you were around him, whether you were dropping into his office at the facility to see how he was or discussing projects, he noticed at first that he was suffering palpitations. Whenever you spoke to him, his heart would skip a beat or speed right up, often prompting his Stand to materialise to find out what the hell was going on.
Then, he began to subconsciously find reasons to speak to you or visit you at the Foundation in Florida whenever he reported back there, his rare mucky laugh showing itself whenever you laughed or smiled.
One time, you even asked him if he was feeling okay and offered to call an ambulance due to the way he was clutching his chest. Despite his awkwardness, you always seemed to pull conversation out of him, something he honestly admired next to your charm and cheekiness. All that changed one morning, when he noticed the door to his office at work was open a smidge, able to tell from the way his carpet was sticking up differently making it a darker shade of red, that a pair of heels had entered recently.
You knew his research was going to get him killed one day. The photographs, the papers, DIO was someone of interest to the Foundation for the longest time and Jotaro meddling in the affairs of someone so infamous in those circles, family issue or not, could cost him dearly.
Sounds of rustling and grunting alerted him to imposters, leading him to be hesitant to enter.
"Who's there?" he bawled, keeping his stand under wraps for now. Eyes trained to how his office should look, he was absolutely certain one single inconsistency would show. The drawer was open, as if somebody had been rifling through them. Were they looking for something?
His phone, taken apart on the desk and in pieces, was the next thing he spotted. Before he could approach the damaged handset, a familiar voice cooed from behind him.
"Ah, Jotaro, there you are." Turning to face the owner of the voice, it appeared to be you, less than concerned for his safety or the state of the office. "I was wondering if you could help me with something." Turning back to look at you, he took a few steps back to join you where you were standing when something blocked his foot from standing on the ground. You were already talking, so he pretended to listen as he inspected the ground.
Not only had his foot caught on something, but that something hissed under his weight! The silhouette of a figure had flashed and dashed before his eyes, like a kaleidoscope in frosted glass on the floor.
"Did you see that?"
"Hmm, no," you lied. "I really need DIO's diary. You have it, right?"
"Um..."
"You know, the Foundation needs to assess the wording."
"The wording, huh?"
Something wasn't right. The Foundation knew full well that the bastard's diary was burned to a crisp, and Jotaro only paraphrased it in his research. He was absolutely certain you knew too, such a strange request. Approaching his drawers to locate his research, he overheard a struggle behind him, and this time, he caught it, noticing a flurry of colours taking a pair of scissors to your throat! You fought against their grip, screaming. Stopping time, unfortunately it was too late, the body about to drop lifelessly to the carpet. Furious, Jotaro resumed time, gripping the intruder with Star Platinum. Bizarrely, it took the form of his purple ghost, causing Jotaro to shudder and tighten his stand's grip.
"Its... Me!"
He allowed it air, it's face turning dark and scaly before fading to the floor as the manifestations did when it's user was unable to breathe. His eyes were drawn to the corpse, now sporting a completely different look to before, then back at your white face at the end of his fist. Had he been tricked?
Star Platinum's user let go immediately, crouching to make sure he hadn't done any serious damage.
"Y/N? Oh, God. What the hell are you doing in here?"
Coughing and spluttering at the floor, you gasped to catch your breath when he tried to pick you up from the floor, surprised when you pushed him off. You heaved, pointing to his desk and mumbling jumbled up words about his tapped phone line. "You fucking idiot. You almost killed me."
"I'm sorry. Are you alright? I almost squeezed the colour from you- I didn't realise you had a stand."
"It's fine. Nobody does. I noticed your phone had been tapped when we spoke yesterday, so I came by before work to try and extract it. Instead, I was followed by this weirdo. They fought me, before looking for something, disguised like me!" Jotaro was gobsmacked. You went into all this effort just to help his wellbeing, it was almost like he could allow it. "I was going to investigate who was tapping your phone, your research is valuable to the Foundation, you probably shouldn't be keeping it here." The mood relaxed a little, with Jotaro chuckling to himself lightening the situation. Seems he had a guardian angel.
"Thank you," he said, genuinely grateful. "Can I at least offer you a coffee? Will it even go down your throat?"
"I'd love one," you replied, smirking to yourself. "You owe me at least that for trying to kill me."
"Sorry. I don't often have women lurking in my office before I get there."
"Oh yeah, women lurking in your office. This one isn't gonna be waking up; where do we hide her?"
"Uuuumm..."
Together, you managed to transport her through to the trash chute in a suitcase, leaving her there to be discovered.
"I have no fingerprints when I'm Chameleon," you informed. "They'll be none the wiser."
"I really need that coffee, it's not everyday I'm having to hide a body."The coffee shop was only tiny, housing the usual partrons for the day. Peering over the table, Jotaro noticed your quizzical look. He glanced at his steaming drink, then back at your face.
"What?"
"This is Florida. How the fuck are you drinking a hot drink?"
"Well," he paused, looking at the faint markings on his hands from beatings passed. "I'm half Japanese."
"I knew that," you remarked, biting the inside of your cheek. "Does it remind you of home or something?"
He shut his eyes, sighing a little as he thought.
"It reminds me of my Mom flocking to my Father when he actually came home - How annoying. She deserved way better. He's a musician so, he travelled a lot without a single thought for her. It's kinda sad when you think about it."
"Why do you drink it then, if it reminds you of something like that?"
"I don't know. Guess I just like it."
"I see," you replied, going on to tell him issues within your own family, since that was the subject. Grinning evilly, you got his attention by whispering his name. "Hey, watch this, it totally freaks people out." You reached out, asking for his hand to which he hesitantly complied. "You gotta be quick touching my hand, don't wanna get caught using my stand."
Before his eyes, your tongue became long and thin like a snakes, eyes bulging out and scales forming over your skin. He was so distracted by your initial transformation, you had to grab his hand yourself. The man's jaw dropped as he watched your body adjust and disguise you as himself, but in your clothes. You only allowed him to see if for a few seconds, before going through the numerous fabrics and patterns touching your body until eventually returning back.
"My stand is called Karma Chameleon, since that's what I am. That's why when you touched me with Star Platinum, I took it's camoflauge."
"That's how you hid on the floor. You camoflauged yourself as my carpet."
"You got me."You left the small coffee shop discussing Tokyo, it's culture and bustling city values. The facility was only a fifteen minute walk away on the shore, both you and Jotaro keeping a safe distance from one another as you travelled, so not as to drift into one's comfort zone. Eventually making it to the beach, he turned to bid you farewell when you stopped him, going inside your pocket to pull out a small wire.
"Oh, this is that wiretap. I don't think people will be listening to your conversations anymore." It plapped in his hand gently, clicking as he put it into his pocket.
"Thanks. Seriously. I'll see you soon, won't I?" He hadn't meant for it to come out so longingly, but the truth was Kujo had formed more than just a crush on you. You were smart, just the right amount of cheeky and bad ass. Not to mention you were gorgeous as well, a massive plus.
"You might see me round... Maybe. If you want to. Later, JoJo."
Leaving with a wink, the man stood watching you for a few seconds, before turning back into work himself with an uncharacteristically huge grin on his face.
