Amity's Journal Entry #2
Second day at Beacon after the initiation. I have to say, yesterday was not at ALL what I was expecting. Ruby felt down, all because she thought that Weiss despised her. I managed to reassure her, however, with the help of Ozpin of course. What happened next, completely out of my power. Ruby hugged me by surprise and snuggled into me. I felt like I was in a trance that I never wanted to come out of. In all honesty, maybe this shows that I might have a chance with her; I'll have to wait and see. In the mean time, my team and I have finally made our own weapons. My one's called the peacemaker, basket-hilt sword. I don't know whether to tell Ruby later on this week. No. Too early. I have to wait for the RIGHT moment. I hope that everything will go right for my time here at Beacon. When in doubt, keep moving Amity.

It was dimly lit in one of the halls of Beacon Academy. Only Cardin and Jaune were the ones to be seen in the spotlight on stage. Jaune was panting, whilst Cardin was just standing strong, feeling like a proud king. As soon as Jaune caught his breath, he charged at Cardin, only to be made a bull and Cardin the bullfighter as he tripped up on his own feet. Cardin laughed as Jaune charged at him again, getting a hit on him, but only his weapon. Jaune tried his best to push, but Cardin proved stronger.
"This is the part where you lose" Cardin smirked, making Jaune more angry by the second.
"Over my dead-" Jaune could not finished, due to being kicked in the mid-section and fall on his side again. Cardin decided to go for the finishing blow, lifting up his mace, ready to smash Jaune's head. But he did not get to do the attack he desired to, a buzzer sounded throughout the hall as the lights came on.
"That's enough" Glynda frowned. "As you can see students, Mr. Arc's aura has fallen into the red"
Jaune held his side in pain, finding the strength to sit up.
"In a tournament style battle, this would indicate that Jaune is not fit for battle and the officials may call the match" Glynda continued. Pyrrha saw the performance of the battle and made a blank expression. "Mr. Arc, it's been weeks now, please try to refer to you scroll during combat; gaining on your aura will allow you to determine when it is the right time to attack, or when it is time to move to a more...defensive strategy"
Jaune sighed. He knew that he was not cut out for fighting like that.
"We wouldn't want you gobbled up by a Beowulf now, would we?" Glynda rhetorically asked, making Cardin scoff.
"Speak for yourself" He grabbed his mace and flung it over his shoulder. Glynda looked at her scroll, there was still time for one more round.
"We still have time for one more round in this lesson" Glynda announced. "Hmm..."
Everyone was on the edge of their seats, the ones that were standing, they felt shivers go down their spines.
"Ruby Rose" Glynda called out. Some cheered for Ruby going up on stage. Ruby waved at everyone in her regular cheerful manner.
"I wonder who she'll go up against" Amity asked in her mind.
"Probably you" Jotaro smirked. Amity sighed and then chuckled.
"As if" Amity shook his head in disbelief.
"How are about going up against...Amity Millinike?" Glynda asked. Everyone made gasps, some even cheered too. Amity completely stopped moving and started at Glynda.
"You were saying..." Roaul patted Amity's shoulder.
"Goddammit" Amity groaned as he walked up onto the stage, making the lights go out and the spotlight shining on just to two of them. "Miss Goodwitch, maybe we should reconsider"
