"...I want to be feared..."

"What?! Impossible! What did-"

"She went that way!"

"...I want to be powerful"

"Someone, call the police!"

"How did she do that?"

Cinder stares at Emerald, smirking, as usual. The mint-haired girl gasped at the sight of Cinder, who appeared to be younger.

"How did you do that?" Cinder asked. Emerald backed up a little towards a wall in the alleyway they were both standing in. Emerald seemed to look younger as well. She had her hair tied back in a ponytail, rather than it being let free. The trash flew around, thanks to the wind, as Emerald grabbed her pistols from behind her back. "Don't. Unless you want them to hear you"

Emerald glared at Cinder and took her hands off of her weapons.

"Where did she go?" A citizen asked. Emerald kept her gaze on Cinder and spoke...

"What do you want?!"

"I've already told you" Cinder calmly answered, her heels clicked the concrete as she walked towards her. "And I don't like repeating myself"

"I didn't do anything, just leave me alone!" Emerald ordered. However, Cinder was still smiling as she stared at Emerald, who was seemed to start losing her patience.

"I know my fair share of liars and thieves" Cinder began. "Stealing is an art of patience, coordination, and in a pinch, sleight of hand. But you didn't steal that ring in your pocket..."

Emerald gasped as her hands moved to her pocket.

"...You took it right before the jeweller's eyes. And he smiled"

"Who are you?" Emerald grit her teeth, demanding to know who Cinder was. Cinder still kept the same face she had when first meeting her, a menacing smirk.

"You will question everything you know" Cinder said.

"This is impossible!" Emerald denied.

"I wish to take on an apprentice" Cinder explained.

"He lives in the mountains, with his son" a man answered.

"Follow me, and you'll never be hungry again" Cinder said.

"Thank you" Emerald hoarsely accepted.

The two then met Mercury, who looked like he was beat. His legs were covered in bloody bandages and he had badges under his eyes, along with the same red liquid coming from his lip. Mercury had a look in his eye that told both Cinder and Emerald that he was tired enough as it was.

"What are you looking at?!" Mercury grit his teeth as he answered.

"I'm looking for Marcus Black" Cinder calmly answered. In response, Mercury spat violently onto the dirt and breathed harshly.

"There you go" He replied, holding out his hand to the dead man that was behind him.

"That's the assassin?" Emerald blinked.

"And you're his son" Cinder said. Mercury wiped his nose with an uncaring tone. He was not concerned about the two girl in front him. "We saw your fight from the tree-line. He taught you well"
