I sent a nod towards the doorman as I made my way into the well lit casino. I was a regular here and all the staff knew me well enough not to question me in any form. Unfortunately, once or twice there's been a minor incident involving me, my weapon and one of the new staff. Thankfully for the casino I've always managed to hold back putting a round into their bodies, but the threat scares them enough to make sure the mistakes or questions don't happen again.

Strolling in like I own the place, I sent a smile to the nearest dealer and got a nod in return. I made my way over to the bar and ordered the usual, 2 shots and a Jack Rose. Turning back around I looked out over the casino, scanning the crowds to find the unlucky individuals to be my 'prey' for the night. For me, gambling was always an easy way to make money. No one in the city could best me, especially when I played with a loaded dice; and a photographic memory.

Gracefully, I pulled out a deck of cards from my pocket and started shuffling them, my mind remembering the new position of each card. It was a difficult skill to learn, even for someone such as myself, but I mastered it and it helped keep the food on my table... and expensive suits in my wardrobe. Picking one of the cards up, I span the ace of spades around my fingers absentmindedly as I downed both shots. Gambling is a lot more fun if you have a little alcohol in your system.

There was a cough from beside me and my gaze was pulled away from the empty glasses as I noticed the casino manager stood there, his pudgy face beaming as he looked up at me. Standing, I shook his hand, a fake smile covering my lips. I straightened out my jacket after releasing his sweaty hand, the pale blue blazer and skirt a strong contrast to my usual black suit jacket and trousers. Sitting back down, I slipped the cards back into my blazer before taking a sip of my Jack Rose waiting for the short man to speak up...

"Rebecca! Lovely to see you."

"And you Ronald. What can I do for you?"

The cheerful tone and façade disappeared as the short plump man cleared his throat, wringing his sweaty hands together. His behaviour was very nervous and it set me on edge. Sitting up straighter, I scanned my eyes around the room again, looking for anything abnormal or out of place. Looking back towards Ronald, my grey eyes looked straight into his beady black ones that darted anywhere but my own.

Realisation suddenly hit me. He only came to me when he was in money trouble. Gazing around the casino one more time, I noticed a table tucked away at the side with a few men sat around it, playing cards in each of their hands. A smirk crept onto my lips as I turned my attention back to the manager in front of me.

"How much did you lose?"

That seemed to take him aback a little, physically making him take a few steps away from me on his short stumpy legs.

"I- I don't know what you're on about. I haven't lost anyth-"

I lifted my hand up to silence him, standing from my chair. I towered over him, my heels making me stand even taller than my usual 5ft 7.

"Don't give me that crap Ron. How much did you lose and how much are you willing to give me if I win it back for you?"

By this point I knew I'd hit the nail on the head. Pulling nervously at his shirt collar, he mumbled under his breath, my smirk growing wider with each word.

"One million and 10%."

"Make it 25% and you've got yourself a deal Mr Winston."

He smiled slyly before scampering off to the table, my long strides making it easy to keep up. As we arrived at the table, I sent a sweet smile to each gentleman before my eyes met a pair of steely blue ones. My blood turned cold. My heart froze mid beat. There was no way he could be here. He shouldn't be here. I wasn't ever supposed to come in contact with Chase Hunter...
