Poisonous (Scorpius Malfoy X Reader)

Reader's Point Of View

I got onto the Hogwarts Express and waved goodbye to my mum. She was really nervous for me to be going to a magical school. I'd miss her, but I was so excited to go to school - not the normal schooling I went to before we found out I was a wizard. I'm a muggle born, so it's all quite scary to her. She didn't even want me to go to school in the first place, but I finally convinced her. 

I made my way through the compartments and saw one with an empty seat. 

"Would you mind if I joined?" I said with a smile.

There was one girl and one boy. Both Ravenclaws. (I nothing against Ravenclaws, or any houses) They seemed a little off put by me. 

"Okay." They said and continued talking to each other.

I put in my earbuds and listened to some calming music. I was nervous.

"Hey. Hey!" They slapped my knee to get my attention. "New girl. What's your name?"

"I'm Y/N."

"I'm Bailey and this is Daniel." The girl said pointing to herself and the boy. 

"What house are you?" Daniel asked noticing my plain black robes.

"I don't know." I replied shyly, slightly embarrassed.

"How can you not know? Are you like a first year or something? But you're too old to be a first year."

"I'm not first year age. I'll be taking fifth year classes but it's my first time going, I just came a bit late. My mum was afraid to send me here, but I finally convinced her." I kind of laughed. They had no response.

"How are you a fifth year if you've never been to Hogwarts before?" Bailey asked.

"Well I've been studying magic ever since I found out I was witch. I wanted to learn everything I possibly could."

"Nerd." Daniel scoffed under his breath.

I acted like I didn't hear him.

"Oh, wow." Bailey seemed utterly disgusted by me.

"I'll just go then." I grabbed my backpack and began to leave the compartment.

"Yeah, maybe you should." She snickered. "Weirdo."

I closed the compartment door and wiped a tear from my cheek. I tried to not let their words get to me but it hurt either way.

I continued down the line of compartments until I found another with a free seat.

Why couldn't there be just one that was completely empty for me?!

There were two boys inside, both Slytherin. 

One had brown hair of average size and the other had white blonde hair and was quite skinny, but not terribly so.

"Hi. Um- Would you mind if I sat with you?" My eyes were still red from crying, I tried to hide it the best I could.

"No, of course come on in." The brown haired boy said, inviting me to sit next to him.
