"Jeffery!"

No stop! Shut up!

"Jeffery Woods!"

That's not my name, shut up!

"Jeff!! WAKE UP!!"

My eyes shot open, my body drenched in a cold sweat as I came tumbling out of my bed, a loud thud bellowing from the hardwood floorboards beneath me. I groaned in response to the sudden awakening and slowly got up from the floor when I was met with a pair of beady red eyes.

"Dude, you good?" The blonde fucker stood just inches away with a dumbfounded look on his face and no intentions on helping me up.

"What're you doing in my room?" I scoffed and leaned against the side of the bed I had fallen out of, crossing my arms as I questioned him; a small ounce of early morning aggression laced in my voice.

"Well, your room is right next to mine dude. Also, it's breakfast time." Ben flashed a small smile in my direction with a wink to coincide.

"Someone's a little on the fruity side...." I muttered as I pushed past him and rolled my eyes, leaving the room altogether.

That dream... It was so brief and yet lasted ages. I couldn't recall any of the actual events of the dream, but I can very clearly remember the voice I heard. A girl's voice that even now was echoing in the back of my head. It bothered me, but a small part of me was curious. I had to hear it again even if I didn't know who it was. Who could it have been? Jane? No, that bitch is psycho. Sally? No, it was too mature. Then who...

"Morning Jeff." Eyeless Jack gave a slight nod as he passed me by in the long corridor. He only drew me away from my thoughts enough to draw out a small "yo" as we continued in our separate directions.

I let out a sigh as I trudged on, the walk to the staircase feeling abnormally long today. Today. Today was another day in this insanely large mansion with an insane handful of insane people. That probably didn't make sense. But it was the truth, and sometimes I would eat with these psychos. After all, I was just like them.

I noticed Laughing Jack and Sally running around and playing with each other just up ahead. The two were in a fit of giggles and laughter, but that wasn't out of the ordinary and couldn't be helped anyway: Jack's laughter was a bit on the contagious side.

The three amigos were huddled close together while they were walking, probably discussing another one of their dumb antics that they tend to take part in from time to time. I passed them by and continued walking forward with my hands tucked in my pajama pants' pockets. They were a little on the weird side, but only because they weren't nearly as crazy as the rest of us were. I tried my best not to talk to them too much, plus they had each other anyway. Hoodie, Masky, and Toby were their own little team after all.

A small gust of wind whooshed past me and blew my messy hair forward and I rolled my eyes in annoyance. A blue blur had whizzed past my legs, followed by the sound of some very gurgly and corrupt laughter. I had no idea where he had come from, or why he was even upstairs to begin with since him and the lame gamer freaks hardly ever left the basement. He was just a mangy busted up hedgehog anyway. Stupid pest. I scoffed and continued walking a little faster.

Finally, the staircase leading to the kitchen was within reach and I glided down the spiraling steps with ease. My stomach grumbled in anticipation and I couldn't wait any longer to just dig into something good. I sniffed around, trying to fill my lungs with the smell of possibly bacon and eggs, but nothing came to. I was confused, but still stepped through the kitchen doorway in hopes of food... when I found nothing. Absolutely fucking NOTHING. What in the fuck, dude. I clenched my fists and growled mainly to myself. That dumb bitch wasn't going to sleep tonight, ironically enough.
