26. Without You

"Eh?" said Sana with a sad expression. "Where did she go?"

"She never told me. She just said she'll be back." Mika said with a shrug.

"Well, do you know when she'll return?" asked Jihyo. Mika shook her head.

"She tends to come home late sometimes." Mika lied again. "Why? Is there something wrong?"

"She didn't tell you?" Nayeon asked. Mika gave the girls a even more confused face.

"Tell me about what?" Mika asks.

"That she became a trainee." Mina answers. Mika 'ah's before clapping her hands once with a wide grin.

"Yeah, she's told me. She's been training hard actually. Probably why she always is gone most of the day now." Mika replies.

"Well, when she comes back home, can you ask her to try and give us a call?" asked Tzuyu.

"Yeah, we're worried about her." Chaeyoung continued with a sad smile.

"It's been a week since we've seen her." Dahyun says. "We're just confused into why she suddenly disappeared."

"Please make sure she contacts us." Momo said with a pout. "I really miss her."

Mika couldn't help but acke. She couldn't expose to the girls that her best friend was inside her room as of right now. She couldn't bring herself to betray her friend like that. "Yeah, of course I'll tell her." Mika said with a small smile. "You girls take care, yeah? Your comeback is coming soon, too, hwaiting!"

The girls all smile at Mika's cheer before leaving with a small bye. As the girls disappear behind the wall, Mika sighs before closing the front door and locking it. "They're gone now." She says. Y/N comes out of her room, her mouth stuffed with rice and eggs. "For fucks sake, what are you, five?"

Y/N swallows her food before speaking. "Actually, I'm 20 but okay." Y/N says correcting her.

"I meant about you hiding." Mika says crossing her arms. Y/N's face immediately goes into a frown. "Look, you didn't see the girls' faces like I did, but they looked so exhausted. They looked hella worried about you, you know. Seriously Y/N, you need to talk to them soon."

"But Mika..." Y/N whined but Mika did not have it and shushed the girl before walking back to go eat her food. With a sigh, Y/N went into the kitchen to wash her dishes. Looking out the window of her apartment to see the view of Seoul, she couldn't help but think to herself.

Is this really the right thing to do? She asked.

"I can't believe she wasn't home." said Momo slouching. The girls were in the elevator going down and back to the cars.

"If Mika said she wasn't home, then she wasn't. I looked inside, it looked like she was eating alone." said Jihyo, being the typical observer she is.

"It's been a week girls, I really do miss her." said Chaeyoung.

"I know, we all do." Nayeon said sadly. "Hopefully Mika snaps some sense in her. She can't hide from us for forever."

Mina couldn't help but stay in her head as she looked down the whole time. For the past week she wasn't able to sleep. Every time she tried to at night, she'd wake up from a nightmare of losing Y/N. Nayeon, Jihyo, and Sana tried to always calm the girl down, but it never seemed to work some nights and they all would end up staying up with the girl until she fell asleep.

The past week was horrible for the girls without Y/N. It felt like their world was falling apart just because of one girl. But they couldn't help it, they were falling for her, even if she wasn't around.

"Mina-yah, are you okay?" Mina looks to see a worried Jeongyeon. Mina gives a small smile.

"N-nae... I am... I–" Mina's eyes began to flutter before they rolled into the back of her head. Immediately seeing the girl, Tzuyu caught the girl before she fell.

"Mina!" "Mina unnie!" The girls all shouted worried. The elevator doors open and Tzuyu carries an unconscious Mina in her arms and into the van. Pinky oppa sees this before running out of the drivers seat to check on the girl.

"What happened?!" he asked worried.

"She passed out." Dahyun said, her eyes not leaving the youngest Japanese member.

"Get her into the car, we have to take her to the emergency room." Pinky oppa says.

"N-no." Mina manages to say. They all look at the girl with surprise.

"Mina, you're sick." Nayeon said. "We're taking you to the hospital."

"No!" Mina shouted. Mina shouting was always rare when it came to the girls for Mina has always been a quiet person. She was the most introverted idol there was.

"M-Mina..." Sana said with a sad face.

"Take me home." Mina said and leaned into Tzuyu's touch. "I just need to sleep."

"Mina, you've tried that for days, you haven't–" Mina cut off Jihyo.

"Take. Me. Home." Mina said and it was final. The girls and Pinky oppa all sigh.

"Okay fine, but I'm informing PD-nim about this. I cannot let this slide, especially since you girls are having your comeback soon." Pinky oppa says. The girls all nod before getting into the car to head back to their dorm.

Despite Mina's words the girls knew.

They knew she wasn't gonna be able to rest.
