She rested her head on my shoulder, her dark brown hair falling on her face as she nuzzled into the crook of my neck.
just a few hours ago i was so mad at her, mad she told geoff, but her head is resting on my shoulder and im not mad anymore.
she asked me am i okay?
And I felt like I could answer her, properly, for once.
"No, but you're helping me so I'll get through it."
She smiled to herself but I noticed.
It's weird to think I feel this way. I've just broken up with Cayla, and I'm already catching feelings for a girl I don't even know that well.
The way she tucks her hair behind her hair when the wind blows and the way her eyes sparkle when they're under certain lights, how she covers her mouth when she laughs.
I think the thing that really got me is how she wants to help me. She wants to be there for me. She wants to see the good in me.
"Friends?" I asked.
"Friends." She said.
I'm an asshole, so I know she isn't thinking like I am; right now. But yet everytime I'm an absolute dick to her she comes back. It's like she wants me but I know that isn't true.
Her eyes started to closed, but would flicker open after a few seconds of being close. My mouth softly curled into a smile, quickly hiding it before asking her:
"Do you want to stay here tonight?"
"I'm surprised you're asking me this but sure."
She smiled before rubbing her eyes and yawning, it was perfect timing; the movie ended. I closed the laptop and placed it on the small shelf underneath my bunk. She had already curled up in the covers, staying closer to the window.
"Do you prefer to sleep here?" She asked me.
"No, it's fine." I shrugged.
She smiled at me, before pulling the covers further up along her body, covering her mouth.
I crawled in beside her, facing her I pulled the covers up and stared at her for a few seconds. Her blue eyes sparkled as she rested both her hands under her head.
"Why are you staring at me?" I asked, furrowing my eyebrows.
"You started it." She scrunched her nose.
"Well you didn't have to stare back." I rolled my eyes before turning around, no longer facing her.
I miss looking at her.
"Rude." She huffed, before beginning to giggle, making the bed vibrate softly.
"Goodnight, babe." She hummed.
"Goodnight, babe."
