"I better go in after them," said Coconuts, "then I can capture Sonic and his pals and Robotnik will have to make me his favorite robot!" And with that, he zapped himself into the book along with the rest.
"Alright, everyone," Miss Saccarine said, "this next story is about three bears and their unwelcome guest. The Three Bachelor Bears. Once there were three bachelor bears named Mad Mike, Big Griz and Little Joe. My that's strange, they've never been given names in the story before."
"Keep reading!" said Rocket the Sloth, "this sounds like it's already getting good!
"Alright," she continued, "one day they were eating breakfast."
Da Bearz were now the stars of the story.
"Deh," said Big Grizz, "dis porridge is too hot!"
"So's mine," said Mad Mike
"Mine's too hot as well," said little Joe.
"How's about I put dese ice cubes in," Big Griz suggested, "that should help cool it down."
"So then he put in the cubes," Miss Saccarine narrated, "but the porridge was still too hot."
Flames start shooting from the bears' mouths.
"Uh..." Big Griz said, "maybe when we're back from our trip, it'll cool down."
"Duh, ok," Mad Mike agreed.
"So then Da Bearz took their leave. But meanwhile a little... ahem... girl... was taking a walk through the forest."
"Do I have to wear this??" Knuckles said in an exasperated tone, as he wore powder blue dress with a white apron and two blue bows in his two front dreadlocks, which were curled.
"So then this wanderer, called 'Dreaddylocks', kept trotting along through the forest."
With an annoyed grunt, he walked unenthusiastically through the path in the forest.
"He soon came to a clearing in the forest. Where he found the home of the three Bearz."
Knuckles ran up to Da Bearz house and looked upon it curiously.
"He looked in one window, and then another, but no one seemed to be inside."
Knuckles then jumped down from the wall he climbed to look into a second story window. He knocked on the front door, and then opened it.
"Anybody home?" He called out. He heard no response.
He then spotted the table and saw the bowls of porridge. He walked up to the table and sat down.
"First, he tried Big Griz's, but it was..."
Flames flare out of the echidna's mouth.
"Whoa! Too hot," he said as he fanned his mouth while smoke emerges out of it. He then scooted over to the next chair.
"He then tried Mad Mike's, but it was..."
"Ugh... too cold..." he said as an icicle formed under his snout as his muzzle turned blue.
"Well," he pondered, looking over at Lil Joe's bowl, "there's an obvious answer to this."
He then picked up Mad Mike's bowl and poured it into Big Griz's. He then picked up Big G'rizs bowl, now mixed with Mad Mike's porridge, and started sipping straight from it.
"Dreaddylocks wasted no time making himself at home."
Knuckles ran across the living room, jumped up and landed sitting in the first chair. His eyes opened wide as soon as was seated. He got out of the chair rubbing his backside.
"Too hard," he said, before punching the chair.
He then jumped into the next chair, he seemed comfortable in it, but then he sunk in and slided out."Too soft..."
He climbed into the last chair, which was a rocking chair, and started to steadily rock back and forth in it.
"Ahh..." Knuckles said, stretching, "Just ri-whooa!"
The chair collapsed underneath him and broke into pieces. "Ow..." he groaned, "what kind of cheap wood was that made of?"
He then let out a yawn."All that activity had tired him out, so he went upstairs to Da Bearz's bedchamber. He climbed into Big Griz's bed, but it was to high at the head."
Knuckles slid out of the slanted bed.
"He climbed into Mad Mike's bed, but it was too high at the foot."
Knuckles slid up and hit his head on the headboard.
"He then saw Little Joe's cot, and climbed into it, which he found to be just right, and he was soon fast asleep. But not too soon later did Da Bearz return home from their trip."
"Deh," Big Griz pondered as he stood in the front doorway, "something isn't right here."
He walked up to the table, "Somebody's been eatin' out of my bowl."
"Somebody's been eatin' out of my bowl," Mad Mike echoed.
"That's strange," said Lil Joe, "mine hadn't even been touched."
"Somebody's been sittin' in mah chair," said Big Griz, "and dey knocked it over."
"Somebody's been sittin' in my chair," said Mad Mike.
"Somebody's been sittin' in my chair," said Lil Joe, "and they broke it into a gazillion pieces," he started to sob and sniffle.
They walk up to their bedchamber."Somebody's been sleepin' in mah bed," said Big Griz.
"Somebody's been sleepin' in my bed," said Mad Mike.
"Somebody's been sleepin' in my bed," said Lil Joe, only seeing long red hair in his bed, "and she still is!"
"Who're you calling a 'she'?" Knuckles turned around and revealed his face to the bears.
"What are you doin' in our house, little girl?" Big Griz asked.
"I'm not a girl," said Knuckles, sitting up and starting to get annoyed.
"But you're wearin' a dress," Mad Mike pointed out.
But before anyone could say anything else, Coconuts busted into the room through the window with his whisk.
"Alright, prepare to-" Coconuts threatened, but he stopped in his tracks laughing at how Knuckles was dressed, " I'm so sorry, Miss, I must have the wrong place," Coconuts continued to laugh even harder.
This was Knuckles' breaking point, with a growl, he leapt at Coconuts. Da Bearz covered their nephew's eyes, knowing something violent was going to go down.
"No! Stop!" Coconuts howled as his metal body made noise when he was getting a beating offscreen. He was then thrown out the window and landed in a mud puddle.
Knuckles then swiftly took off the dress he was wearing and then jumped out the window.
"Wow," Big Griz said, surprised and confused, "dat wasn't a girl at all."
