The opening ends to JP, in an attire worn by Seto Kaiba, activating his duel disk. at the growling creature in the cage barely seen at the end of the last episode. Her teammates cheer her on from their seats in the front row.

Yang Xiao Long: (raising her fist) "Goooo, JP!"

Blake Belladonna: (waving a small flag saying "JP") "Fight well!"

Ruby Rose : "Yeah, show it who's boss!"

Weiss Schnee: (looking over at her "leader") "Ruby! He's trying to focus!"

Ruby: (looking sheepish) "Oh, um... Sorry..."

Port: "Allllright!" (next to the cage, activates duel disk) "Let the match... begin!"

The professor swings down and breaks the lock, dropping the cage door and revealing the Boarbatusk inside, which immediately charges at JP. He uses his duel disk to deflect its attack and roll to the side, readying herself for its next move. The Grimm stands a distance away from its enemy, studying him.

Port: "Ha-ha! Wasn't expecting that, were you?"

Ruby: "Hang in there, JP!"

JP: Weiss, you Synchro Summon. Right?

Weiss: Yeah.

JP: Let me show you how it's done. I summon Goblindergh in ATK Mode!

Goblindergh: Level 4- 1400 ATK/ 0 DEF

JP: This monster lets me special summon Flamvell Magician!

Flamvell Magician: Level 4- 1400 ATK/ 200 DEF

JP: Level 4 Flamvell Guard tunes Level 4 Goblindbergh! Clustering wishes will become a new shining star! Become the path its light shines upon!

Everyone stares at the dragon.

The trap Mirror Force appears and destroys Stardust Dragon.

Port: "Oh-ho! Now what will you do without your monster?"

JP: My dragon isn't gone.

Ruby: "JP! Activate its effect! It-"

Weiss: (turning to Ruby) "Stop telling him what to do!"

Ruby looks hurt at Weiss' rebuttal.

JP: I activate my monster's special ability! By sending it to the Graveyard, I negate that trap and save my dragon! Victim Sanctuary! Afterward, it returns to my field!

Stardust Dragon reappears.

JP: Stardust Dragon, attack again! Shooting Sonic!

The Grimn is destroyed.

Port: "Bravo! Bra-vo! It appears we are indeed in the presence of a true Huntsman-in-training!" (JP deactivates his duel disk as Weiss stands up at attention from her exhausted position and Ruby continues to frown) "I'm afraid that's all the time we have for today. Be sure to cover the assigned readings, and... stay vigilant! Class dismissed!"

Weiss glares and turns away, walking hurriedly to the exit past her teammates.

Jaune Arc: (watching her leave) "Sheesh, what's with her?"
