"It's almost nightfall," you said, looking up at the sky from your noble steed, (h/n), that you had just registered that morning. "We should find a place to camp."
Link, who was sitting beside you on Epona, looked to you and smiled mischievously. "What? Too nervous to venture into the unknown without light?"
You rolled your (e/c) eyes, steering (h/n) from the road and into a nearby clearing. "You must be talking about yourself. I would continue, but we have yet to eat. And sleep is always a good thing while traveling."
Link followed you, an mock offended and pouting look on his face. "I wasn't talking about me," he muttered looking around the two of you for any signs of danger.
Through the trees, he noticed a small Bokoblin camp, complete with a cooking pot and roaring fire.
"Stay here, (Y/n)," he said hopping off Epona. "I feel like hot food tonight."
He took off through the trees, not giving you a chance to answer.
"Alright then, hero." You hopped off (h/n), feeding him an apple from one of the saddle bags. "There's a good boy," you cooed. Stroking his muzzle, you got carried away in your thoughts.
Well, thoughts about your infatuation.
You and Link had been traveling together for about 4 and a half months now. And, much to your dismay, developed feelings for the blue hero no more than a month ago. By now, you were fine with your feelings, and accepted them.
And every time you got lost in thought, it was Link that shrouded your thoughts.
Everything from the moment you first met to the first battle together to the first meal you ate as partners.
Every good memory clouded your brain. And, luckily for you, every memory with him was a good one.
Little did you know, Link was done battling and was standing at the edge of the clearing.

Link's POV
Link stood at the edge of the clearing, admiring (Y/n) from afar.
For the past month, she'd been spacing out with an adorable smile on her face and a faint blush on her cheeks.
And it drove Link absolutely crazy.
After the first month of traveling with (Y/n), he'd fallen. Much deeper than he'd known was possible.
Everything about her was something he admired. Her ever-so-soft-looking (h/l) (h/c) hair, her dazzling (e/c) eyes, that mesmerizing smile of hers, her battle style, the way her face softened as she slept.
Legit, everything.
He couldn't help it.
He'd found (Y/n) annoyingly gorgeous from day one, but he fell for her after a single month.
And, damn, he was okay with it.
As much as Link didn't want to disrupt her, he walked over and placed his hand on her shoulder.
"(Y/n)?"
Startled, her head flicked to the side, pulling some of her hair with it. "Oh! Uh, hi, Link! All done fighting already?"
Link blinked. This was something he'd never experienced before. She was almost never nervous. How interesting.
A small, genuine yet playful smile pulled at his lips. "Yep. What are we going to make today? I'm starving!"
