"I gotcha. Just think about it. But for now, let's go get some coffee." Delilah gave her a look. "And a smoothie."

Without caring much of how she'd look, she threw her hair in a bun and dressed in old shorts and a large shirt. Slipping on her shoes, Ronnie and Delilah headed out. They were quiet until they got to the shop where they ordered their regulars and sat down.

"So," Ronnie started, "Ma told me about what happened last night."

Delilah's face felt warm and she was starting to get sick. "Mm,"

"What made Arlo get a panic attack?"

"Well, Jocelyn was kinda sending signals that she was irritated and Arlo can read people pretty well. He could tell that we were exactly handling each other well. So, when Jake and Jocelyn snapped at each other and me, I guess he was taken back to the home he used to live in."

Ronnie grimaced, "Geez, I wish I had been there."

"You couldn't have stopped it. I couldn't."

"I know. But I just think about the what if's."

"Me too." Delilah sighed, "Me too. I can't live like that. And I know he won't want to live like that either. What if's are horrible."

Ronnie agreed and then got up when her name was called. She set the strawberry-banana smoothie in front of Delilah and then huffed. "Well, Jake and Jocelyn have been fighting for the past few months, especially just before the tour. They broke up, like, three times already in the short span of two months. It's crazy. And it's not just her though. It's him too."

"Yeah, Jocelyn mentioned some stuff to me."

Ronnie rolled her eyes. "I like Jocelyn. She's hilarious and cares about people. But I feel like she is purposely doing it and Jake is retaliating in a not so good way, you know."

Delilah rested her head on her hand, "Do you know anything about her past? Sometimes past relationships screw up future ones."

Ronnie shook her head, then tucked in her long brown hair. The Kiszka siblings all had the same look. The beautiful brown eyes and the jaw. However, Ronnie was much more feminie and had a glow to her. She had the same smile too. Like they knew a secret and they weren't willing to tell you. "No, Jocelyn is pretty tight lipped about her past. I just know that her mom passed away when she was sixteen and then her older brother when she was eighteen. All she has now is a younger brother who is living in New York."

"Maybe that's it."

Ronnie narrowed her eyes, thinking, "No, there's something else. I can just feel it."

Delilah nodded. They became quiet and she glanced outside. She was not ready to see Jake walking by. "Oh crap, Jake's here."

Ronnie looked outside and then at the door when it opened. "I don't see Jocelyn."

Delilah let out a breath that she did not realize she was holding. "I am not in the mood to deal with her."

Ronnie laughed and then cringed, "I got his attention. Sorry."

Delilah shrugged. She glanced over at Jake when he was by their table, "Hey, Ron."

Ronnie grimaced at the name, "Shut up."

Delilah laughed, "I should call you that now. Ron."

"Shut up!" She punched Delilah's shoulder.

"Ouch!"

"No violence."

"You started it."

"Nu-uh"

"Ya-huh."

Before they could keep going, Delilah interrupted, "Children, children. No need to argue."

Jake smiled slash smirked at her but then it dropped. She watched his adams apple bobble when he swallowed. He was nervous, "I, um, wanted to apologize to you about last night."

"Oh," she was surprised. "Thanks."

"I shouldn't have started anything with her, especially in front of a guest. I'm really sorry." Delilah smiled tight lipped at him. She didn't know what to say to him. "How is Arlo?"

He surprised her once again. Some people that she knew never apologized or even asked about Arlo after his panic attacks. Jake felt different. "He's doing better today. He's probably building his legos."

He breathed out in somewhat of relief, "That's good. I felt bad when he started panicking. So did Jocelyn." At the sound of her name, their moment broke. She didn't understand why she felt guilty. She slapped it away. "Ah! I gotta go now. See you around."

"Yeah, see you." She watched Jake for a moment and then back to Ronnie who was staring at her. "What?"

"Nothing." She took a gulp of her drink.

"What?"

"Nothing. We should get going too. Maybe we can convince your parents to let us go to Detroit."

Delilah rolled her eyes, "You know, I'm an adult right."

"Not until you can drink alcohol, you're not."

"Hey, I have one more year."
