There's a knock at your door. You just ignore it and stand up, making sure you've packed everything. Your katana and phaser are in a large duffle bag. You didn't get a new knife after the fight in Ronan's ship.
"(Y/n), it's me. Please, open the door." Peter's voice sounds from the other side of your bedroom door.
"I don't wanna talk right now." You look around your room.
"We need to talk. Come on." He says as you sit down on your bed.
You're not talking to him. Not right now. You're so pissed at him. He's acting like a child.
"I must have been through about a million girls. I'd love 'em and I'd leave 'em alone. I didn't care how much they cried, no sir. Their tears left me cold as as a stone." Peter sings from the other side of the door. "But then I fooled around and fell in love." He continues as you stand up.
A small grin makes its way to your lips. "Fooled around and fell in love." He keeps going.
You may as well just let him in. God, why do you always give in to him so easily? Unlocking the door, you open it to reveal Peter leaving up against the door frame. He walks in and closes the door. His arms bring you close to his torso, his hands resting on your hips.
"Free on my own, that's the way I used to be. But since I've met ya, baby, love's got a hold on me." His hands snake to your wrists, lifting your arms, and putting them on his shoulders.
"What do you want, Peter?" You question roughly, tired of his games.
"That didn't do what I thought it would. I thought you'd mellow out and forgive me." He moves with you slightly.
"I'm mad at you. What do you want?" You break away from him, reaching down towards your duffle bag that contains two of your babies.
"I'm sorry, okay? I don't mean for it to sound like I don't want you to meet your folks. I just-" He cuts himself off as he slumps down on your bed. "Ever since Yondu kidnapped us, it's just been you and me, y'know? We did everything together. And we didn't stay away from each other either." As he explains how he's feeling, you sit down on your bed. "And now you're just gonna be gone for a few weeks? I won't get to see you, kiss you, hold you..."
You chuckle, laying down next to him. "Are you telling me that you don't want me to go because you'll miss me?" You turn on your side, resting on your elbow.
He nods. "Basically, Yeah." His arm wraps around you.
"Peter, why didn't you just say that instead of trying to get me to stay?" You question, your hand laying flat on his chest.
"Because it wouldn't have mattered. You'd still go." His eyes roam your face.
Looking down, you give off a breathy chuckle. "Don't you think you're being a little selfish?"
His lips make a tight line as he ponders. "No, I don't really think so." He shakes his head.
You let out a breath as you rest your head on his shoulder. "Close your eyes." You command softly.
"Are we about to do some freaky stuff or-"
"Shh." You close your eyes as well. "I want you to imagine the time your mother took you to the carnival. All of the rides you rode with her, all of the stuffed animals you won for her..." You peek out of one eye to see if he's doing as he's told. He is. "All of the fun you're having with your mother makes you ecstatic." You bite your lip. "Now imagine your want to know your father. How many stories your mother told you about him. How your father was from the stars." You open your eyes, scrutinizing his face. "Imagine if you never had your mother by your side. Never had those fun times with before she passed away. Imagine the feeling of your absent father in the place of your mother." You notice his face scrunch up. "How do you feel?"
