CHAPTER ONE ➵ ❝ LOST ! ❞
eleven winces slightly. the pure aching in her legs don't sooth the pain she feels at all right now. she has been walking for a while now, and didn't know where she currently was. the cool feeling in her bare toes slowly started to make her feet feel almost frozen.
nothing around her looked familiar at the slightest and she didn't realize what she had done. but she knew it definitely wasn't something she had before she left. she looks around her surroundings but she only feels more lost than before.
the hospital gown she wore hung loosely around her shoulders, her skin was slighty wet from the light water droplets that fell from the sky. her hair was in a short pixie cut, her large brown eyes big and alarmed. she didn't know how to fit in, to look like a normal person, she looked out of place.
she took her bottom lip in between her teeth while she slightly shook from the cold. she was still drained from the new ability she had conquered not even twenty minutes ago. teleportation.
she suddenly stopped her walking at the sight longly beside her. she hugged her arms around her chest, looking side to side as she shook from the cold weather. her eyes squinted a bit to see who it was, her heart beat thumping as fast as ever. it was a boy.
he seemed to be going to the mail box in front of his house but she didn't know that. his expression seemed tight and he looked completely miserable. his actions suddenly stopped and it almost made eleven jump. he turned her way.
his frustrated expression slowly softened as he glanced into the unfamiliar girl's eyes. he tilted his head slightly, his hands dropped to his sides as he felt his mouth suddenly go dry. he took in her odd appearance and his eyebrows furrowed in pure concern and confusion.
he had never seen her around before and she looked like she was somehow lost...odd. he couldn't stop the curiosity that slowly peaked into his mind. he couldn't help but open his mouth to speak, "h-hi."
he didn't mean to stutter, it just happened. eleven's eyes slightly widened when she realized he was talking to her. she didn't say anything for a moment, and the brunette haired boy decided to take a few step forward.
he must have moved a little too quickly because the girl suddenly looked like she was a dear in headlights, her body tense when she stepped back. the boy frowned at the girl's actions before putting his hands out in surrender.
"oh, I won't hurt you, I swear." his voice was soft but something in his words sounded different from what she's ever heard. she didn't know what it mean but she had picked up on his british accent.
