Ayumi's POV:

I closed the door quietly behind me. Kanato had made me stay after the whole blood-sucking situation and he "requested" that I pet his head until he falls asleep. It took less time than I expected, not even 5 minutes passed before he was knocked out. The poor thing hasn't slept for so long, it actually relieved me that he was finally able to get some shut-eye. I sighed before walking towards my room. So much shit has been happening since me and Yui came to this mansion. With each day that passes, I can tell I'm getting soft with some of them. Walking down the halls I look out the window to see the same rose garden from my first dream. I also see the tsundere walking around by himself and tending to the roses. Seeing as it was such a nice night, I decided to go outside and sit in the rose garden. Walking down the stairs and out the door, I find a bench in the garden and sit on it. Gazing at the moon, I almost feel like I'm gaining some of my energy back. I heard some shuffling and looked to my right to see Subaru glaring down at me.

"Oi, what are you doing here?"

I don't answer him as I just breathe in the smell of roses around me.

"ANSWER ME GOD DAMN IT!"

'This boy and his temper' I thought shaking my head. I know I'm not one to talk but to me, he's a bit worse than me.

"Come sit next to me Subaru."

"Tch you can't tell me what to do," he said, sitting down anyways.

I grinned at him before looking back up.

"Doesn't the moon look nice today Subaru? It feels like it's smiling down at me."

"Haah? Smiling down at you? What the fuck does that even mean?"

"There there Subaru no need to get mad at me. Here," I said grabbing a rose from the bush and putting it on his ear.

He looked dumbfounded before the full-on blush came.

"W-WHAT ARE YOU DOING HUMAN?"

"Jeez calm down. All I did was put a flower on your ear chill."

"ARE YOU LOOKING DOWN ON ME?"

I sigh, shaking my head and looking away. This boy......

He stood up and there was rustling heard. I turned and saw him ripping at the roses snarling. I gasped as I stood up quickly and stopping him.

"WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU DOING SUBARU?"

"SHUT UP! DON'T TOUCH ME! I'M FILTHY AND I DON'T DESERVE TO LIVE. COME ANY CLOSER AND I'LL DESTROY YOU!"

"WHAT ARE YOU SAYING?? DON'T SAY THAT ABOUT YOURSELF!" God, it's times like these that I wish I could break some plates.

"sHUT UP SHUT UP SHUT UP!"

Fed up, I slapped him. His head whipped to the right as his eyes widened. My hand was stinging but I ignored the pain.

"WHO TOLD YOU THAT? WHO TOLD YOU THAT HAAH?"

He seemed a bit shell shocked before he finally spoke.

"My mother," He said quietly.

Do ALL these boys have mommy issues? I sat back on the bench and huffed before breathing deeply and patting the empty part of the bench, urging him to sit.

"Tell me," I said, not taking no for an answer.

He sat down and put his head in his hands.

"My mother was the cousin of my father. She was well known for her beauty and my father wanted to claim her as his own so he ended up raping her, which I was the end result of. My mother ended up turning crazy so they had to lock her in a tower. I was only allowed to visit her once in a while when she called me. In the beginning, she would always act like a normal mother but as more time passed, she started getting crazier. She would throw things at me while screaming 'dirty' at me, forcing me to leave"
