Y/n pov

You look at Harry and rush down the stairs you need to go to the dungeons you see at the entrance there's scratch marks, you shake your head clear and rush inside. You race down and grab your pouch you had thankfully prepped in advance. You see Peter waiting for you at the front door and you see Professor McGonagall race towards the two of you.

"We have to leave now." You tell him sweat gliding off your brow.

"Why? What's happened?" Peter asked quickly.

"Sirius Black may very well be in the castle they're calling a lockdown; you can't be in here when that happens." You state knowing you weren't going to have him stay locked up in a room

"What? Is it better to be out there?" Peter asks unsure.

"Yes!" You yell pulling him towards the doors.

"L/n, Groveden!"  McGonagall calls you knew she was right behind you and sighed.

"Professor, he can't stay here." You tell her. She sighs looking at your pleading eyes and Peter's scared demeanor.

"I know. I can't believe I'm saying this but both of you need to leave, go out and be very careful, if anything happens, I mean anything that could be related to Sirius black send up red sparks and run towards the castle. When Peter is changed back, if lockdown has not ended send green sparks and I will be notified, the door will be opened for you to come in. And please watch out for dementors, I believe Lupin taught you how to take care of a few but still you'll be outnumbered if you stay for too long, run along, I must lock the front doors, be here by day light, or else." McGonagall warned you smiled thankfully.

"Yes professor." You shifted into your Animagus form and ran out Peter right behind you not noticing how happy it made McGonagall to see you could shift without a wand. You ran and shifted back when you were near the forest's edge.

"Peter, you've had your wolfsbane?" You ask confirming with him.

"Yes, Y/n this doesn't feel safe a mass murder is on the loose." Peter states you know why he's afraid but for some reason it concerns you to why you aren't.

"Yes, but a mass murder who I met in Azkaban, me and him made a general deal, I hope he trusts me if we meet again." You say quickly making sure you had your wand handy; you were glad you wore normal clothes due to the day being a trip your up classes were cancelled.

"You have a lot of explaining to do." Peter stated you both looked at how the moon was almost fully up. "But that can wait."

"Pete as soon as you change to help the Dementors stay off my presence I'll shift but only after you do." You wanted to confirm he was okay before shifting.

"Okay... just please don't get us killed." Peter laughed you could tell his laugh was forced.

"I'll do my best." You promised. He smiled before his skin started to stretch and fur stated growing, you saw tears n his eyes, you wanted nothing more then to make the pain stop.

Peter howls in pain and screams in agony as he changes you keep your eyes on the terrible scene scared to tear your eyes from him. Once the screaming stops and he growls and looks at you. You feel your heart beat hard.

"Pete?" you ask.  He whimpers and you smile at the boy before changing into your Animagus form, somewhat ironic that you change into a wolf to help your werewolf friend.

You both darted into the woods it was the best choice great cover. You both ran until there was a fallen tree at the top of a hill. You shifted back and sat down facing him.
