Ana: ok lets finish this, idk.

"A-are you ok?! You're face is pale! Pete! Peter! Oh my god, oh my god, oh my-"

Lexie struggled to keep calm, but I couldn't move. My hand. Just lit on fire... I was terrified, fire almost costed me my life when I was 7... I-t... it couldn't be happening again.

"PETER!"

I looked at her, aparently, she had been calling my name for a while.

"Just- just put your hand in the water"

Tsssss... I looked at my hand, finally breathing correctly and tried to understand what just happened.

"It doesn't hurt" i said under my breath

"What?"

I looked at Lexie. "My hand. It doesn't hurt"

She looked so so confused and her expression was puzzled.

"I-i don't get it... Peter" she paused. "This may sound crazy, but. What happened before you blacked out?"

"I-i don't know" i said, starting to get nervous. "F-first I was swiming, then- light. And shadows! And i got, NO! Light again and- and-"

"Peter." She said grabbing my shoulders. "It's ok, don't worry. Just- focus"

I got a bit flustered. When she shifted me our faces got close, she smelled like the beach, salty but fresh.

I moved away and let out a little -ehem then took a deep breath. "I went diving and saw a ligh, I decided to follow it because I was curious about it. As I got closer, the light became stronger that it was hard to see. I just know something was there, but before I could get to know what was there, I blacked out"

"A light huh? No, It isn't supposed to be real" she laughed to herself.

"Um, excuse you? What are you talking about?"

"S-sorry!" She said startled. "It's just that, when I was a kid. My grandma used to tell me stories about a deep light below the sea. She said a mermaid lives there, and when someone dared to disturb her, she would grant them their worst nightmare or something like that"

I just looked at her horrified, the tought of my hand creeping again. I looked at my hand, and rubbed it with the other.

"I know it may be uncomfortable, but... Is that why you have this?" She pulled away a strand of my hair away from my left eye and placed it behind my ear.

I flustered at the touch... "yeah... I was only seven..."

She let out her breath and whispered. "I'm sorry..."

She lowered her hand but I grabbed it, giving her a reasuring expression without letting go.

"Is-" I said regreting it.

"Is what?"

"I was going to ask you about your grandma... Maybe she can tell you something about the story"

"Oh yeah she could. But she isn't here anymore..."

"I-i'm so sorry" again, regreting it.

"It's ok" she looked at the sky. "Pete, the sun already set, let's go. We need to take you to the hotel"

"Talk to you tomorrow?"
