First date

Quinn woke up in Rachel and Finns bedroom and barely remembered the nights events, she remembered telling Puck and him being supportive and then she think that she went to lay down and then must have slept through the night. She climbed out of the bed and threw on a pair of clothes that she always kept at their house. She walked downstairs and saw Puck sitting out of the porch swing staring into space.

'I think he's freaked out about the whole baby thing.' Finn whispered when he noticed Quinn looking out at the man.

'How long has been out there?'

'An hour.' Finn responded, it was only 7am.

'Should I talk to him?'

'Definitely.'

The blonde hesitantly slid the door leading to the garden and spoke. 'Want some company?' He turned around and nodded. She sat next to him and took his hand. 'I'm freaking out as well.' She said truthfully.

'What if I'm a bad father?'

'You won't be. What happened with your dad?' She asked knowing if was a sore subject.

'What has Finn said?' Puck said visibly tensing up at the mention of his dad.

'Nothing, I want you to tell me.'

He took a deep breath. 'He wasn't a good guy. He left my mom when I was eight and my sister wasn't even a year old. He'd hurt my mom and me if I got too close. He came back when I was seventeen, took my college fund and left. I haven't seen him since. He was deadbeat and I don't want that for our kid.'

'You will never be him,  You wanna know how I know?' She said and he nodded. 'As soon as I told you about the baby you wanted to help, you wanted to be there. I practically gave you and free pass and you wanted to be there.'

'How do you always know what to say?' He said pulling her close and held one arm around her.

'I guess you just bring out the best in me.' She said leaning on his chest.

'I have to get to work.'

'Please be safe.'

Puck was always safe at work, being a police officer he needed to protect himself as well as other people, but now he had a reason to be safe.
