"You feel that?"
"What? The fresh air?"
"Nope. The smell of stinky animals."

I chuckled at Ai sending me a tired glare, as we stood in front of the holy place we once stood in front of with Reiji and Otoya, commonly called the zoo. I was still quite nervous about his strange move back in the Ferris wheel, but in the meantime, I remembered that he is an android, and those kinds of things from him shouldn't be taken too seriously.
Ai let out a quiet sigh, pulling the cat hoodie I forced on him off his head. "You have the talent to ruin the atmosphere for things."
"Since when did you care about stuff like atmosphere?" I looked at him questioningly.
"I don't."
"Then what's your problem again?"
"... Let's just move on." he sweatdropped, shuffling in his pocket for his wallet and turning towards the ticket stand by the entrance.
"Oi. What are you doing?"
"Isn't it obvious? I'm going to buy our tickets," he told me as so naturally.
"What? Why?" I frowned. "I invited you, so it should be natural for me to pay."
"That may be the case, but I'm 99% sure you left your wallet at home," he said bluntly.
"Heh!? How rude! I'm not that careless...!" I grumbled, starting to search in my pockets. Ai looked at me with a raised eyebrow, as I slowly bit my bottom lip and sulked.
"So?"
".... I may have... forgot it." I muttered quietly.
"What did I tell you?" he sighed, leaving to the ticket stand, wallet in hand.
I sweatdropped to myself, watching him stand in line and then buy us two tickets.
"There you go." he handed me my ticket.
"I feel bad..." I muttered quietly, staring at the paper in my hand with a pout.
"Serves you right." he shook his head in disbelief. "Come on... we don't have all day."
With that, he started walking in the park.
"... Actually, I'm pretty sure we... you know what, whatever." I waved my hand, quickly following after him.

"So, you wanted to show me something?" Ai asked me a while later, while we walked down this place called "Madagascar-house", with lemurs freely roaming around.
"Ah... I wanted to leave that to the end." I hummed.
"Why so?"
"You know what they say... best for last." I chuckled before I felt a lemur suddenly jump on my shoulder. I let out a squeak.
"Calm down..." he tilted his head at me.
"T-This is kind of funny..." I laughed nervously, trying my best to stay still, while I felt the lemur messing with my hair. After a few seconds, it jumped off of me.
"Look, it's already gone."
"Y-Yeah..." I chuckled, quickly checking my hair. "... Awe, look! It left me a flower!!" I laughed, getting out the flower that was stuck in my hair. "Awe~ it must like me~"
"..."
".... Ai... you are glaring at it."
"No... I'm not." he denied it bluntly.
"Are you jealous of a lemur?" I teased him with a cheeky grin.
"Jealous...?" he tilted his head, blinking at me. "... No... I don't think so." he furrowed his eyebrows.
"Sure, sure." I waved him off, stuffing the flower behind my ear. "There we go. How does it look?"
I turned to Ai with a large smile.
He was about to answer something dismissive, but then he closed his mouth as he stared at me.
".... Great." was what he blurted out in the end.
"That's all?" I sulked. "Always so cold..."
"What else am I supposed to say...?"
"... Good point. Let's just go!" I shrugged, quickening my steps before another lemur could jump on me.
...
"You coming?" I looked back over my shoulder.
"... Ah... yeah." he nodded, quickly following after me.

"Let's see..." I hummed about two hours later, with my nose in the map as we walked down the park. "We were in the Madagascar-house... We saw the wild cat park... We saw the monkeys, the reptile house, we got to see the elephants..."
"From a little too close..." Ai grumbled beside me, still squishing water out of his hair.
"Haha... Hey, that only means it likes you." I giggled, nudging him with my elbow.
"This is the second day I got soaked in a row. I may be waterproof, but you really should watch out more..." he muttered, about to tie his hair back up.
"Let it down. It will dry more easily." I mumbled, still eyeing the map. "... I'm pretty sure we almost saw everything that matters besides the aquarium."
"I assume what you wanted to show me is in the aquarium." he looked at me.
"Yep!" I nodded widely, grabbing his wrist and dragging him towards the building that was called "The Deep End".
"H-Hey...! Ugh, jeez..." he groaned, quickly fastening his steps to keep my pace.
