"Hey girls, want a drink?"

Martina and I both turned to our left and saw a big bulky guy, shaved head and really blue piercing eyes.

"No, thanks. We can pay for our own." Martina gave him a tight smile and we turned around once again to wait for the Bar man.

I wasn't really sure if I could afford one drink in this club. Luca and his friends had money, it was as clear as water, and I... well, I was broke as hell.

"Oh, you're one of those feminists?" Asked the guy in a mocking tone.

Martina stared at him, a disgusted expression on her face. "Of course we are. Now if you excuse us."

The guy surrendered and left muttering insults about women in general under his breath. I tried not to let it get under my skin, but Martina was furious.

"Can you believe that?!" She asked putting both hands on the bar.

The sad thing was, I was used to those kind of things. My ex boyfriend was really sexist, I realized that now, and men in general in my hometown were too. People were more close minded and had another mentality.

I was about to reply, when Luca appeared beside me, a little frown between his eyebrows. "Was he bothering you?"

"It's alright, Martina handled the situation."

Ace also entered into the picture and began talking with his girlfriend. He seemed calm, but his eyes were a little scary, angry. They were a very unnatural color, almost like amber.

I glanced at Martina and she was saying some things in another language. "¡El muy capullo!"

"What is she saying?" I asked Luca.

"Who knows." He shrugged. "She's Spanish."

"Oh." I didn't know that but now that he had said it, I had noticed a little bit of an accent before.

"What do you want?"

"It's okay, I can-"

"Come on, Riley. Don't make me insist. This place is expensive." He said gently. His dark brown eyes were bright, twinkling due to the alcohol in his system.

"Okay, uhm, strawberry vodka, please."

Luca ended up ordering four drinks, one for each one of us. I thanked him and gave a kiss on his cheek which he corresponded with a wide smile.

"So, do you like Karma?" He asked nudging me with his elbow. We approached the rest of the group who were scattered around a table in different small couches.

"It's huge." I admitted.

He laughed. "Yeah, and you haven't even put a food on the dance floor. Wanna try?"

"What? No, I don't- I told you, I don't know how to dance."

"Oh, come on." He tugged my hand, pulling me towards him as he walked. "You just have to move your body."

I became instantly nervous. I let myself go with the flow, not on purpose, alcohol made me carefree and reckless.

We started dancing, not just the two of us, but everyone in the group. I was a little shy at first, but then I realized that not everyone was a professional dancer, and that the only thing that mattered was to have fun. I moved my hips at the rhythm of the music and Luca took my arms to make me twirl. I couldn't stop laughing and I wasn't even aware of it, but when I finished my drink, another one was immediately replaced by it.

I made a mental note to thank Luca for that, and maybe get a little mad at him for that too.

Everything was red, yellow and green. I was sweating but I couldn't care less. I even danced with some strangers and at some point Luca had to take me by the shoulders and pull me towards him.
