Harry fiddled with his robes nervously. He and Ron were waiting in the library for Draco and Hermione.
"I still can't believe Hermione dropped Divination," Ron shook his head. "I've never seen her speak to a teacher like that."
"Yeah," Harry looked up at the library doors.
"Hey, are you alright Harry?" Ron asked. "You seem nervous."
"I'm fine," Harry said quickly. "I just- I need to talk to everyone."
The library doors opened suddenly and Hermione and Draco came through them, bickering loudly.
"I'm in shock, Granger. Did you really drop a class? And yelled at a teacher? Why?" Draco berated Hermione as they walked over to where Harry and Ron were sitting.
"It's bullshit, Draco. I'd hardly call her a teacher. She's basically insane!" Hermione scowled as they sat down.
Draco wasn't listening. His eyes focused on Harry. "Are you okay? You look awful."
"Thanks," Harry tried to smile, but his mouth didn't seem to remember how. "I'm- Well I'm not fine. That's what I wanted to talk to everyone about."
They all went silent.
"You aren't in trouble or anything, Harry. You haven't gone and put yourself in danger again?" Hermione said worriedly.
"No, not really. It's just-" He wiped his hands on his robes and swallowed. "This is really hard to say. Just don't think any different of me, okay?"
"Harry, you're freaking me out," Ron said, his voice rising in panic.
"I think I might like boys," Harry said quickly. "But I'm not sure. I'm really confused."
Everyone was quiet and Harry could feel himself starting to panic. He felt someone's hand on his knee and he looked up.
Hermione smiled kindly at him. "It's alright, Harry. You're allowed to like boys. And you're allowed to be confused. You're only 13 after all. You don't have to have everything figured out."
He let out a shaky breath and put his hand over hers. "Thanks Mione." Then he looked over at Ron.
"Are you okay with it?" He asked anxiously.
Ron looked startled. "Of course! Why wouldn't I? You're my best friend."
Harry grinned. "Yeah, thanks."
Then he turned to Draco.
It was impossible to tell what he was thinking.
"Are you okay?" Harry asked. Of all his friends, it was Draco he feared losing the most. "Draco, are you okay?""I just need a minute," Draco said, getting up. He paused and something like panic flashed in his eyes. Then he walked away.
Harry felt his stomach sink. "I feel sick," he whimpered, wrapping his arms around his stomach and trying to fight down the tears that were rising in his eyes. Hermione wrapped an arm around his shoulders and hugged him.
"I'm sure it's fine," She murmured. "He probably just needs to process."
"He hates me now," Harry whispered. "He hates me."
"No, Harry, Draco could never hate you. You know that." Hermione shot a look at Ron and gestured at Draco. He nodded quickly and ran after him.
"Hey!" Ron shouted. "Draco, wait!"
Draco glanced behind him and sped up. Ron easily caught up with him and grabbed his shoulder.
"Draco! Look at me," Ron growled.
Draco glanced at him, face flushed and tears sparkling in his gray eyes. "I can't- I just can't." He tried to free himself from Ron's grasp.
"Harry's crying in there because he thinks you hate him," Ron argued.
Panic filled Draco's face. "I don't, really."
"Can you tell him that?" Ron asked, a little more gently.
Draco shook his head desperately. "You don't understand, I can't!"
"Why not!" Ron threw up his hands in frustration. "All you have to do is walk back in there and say you don't hate him!"
"Because!" Draco shouted. He glanced around the corridor anxiously then said in a harsh whisper, "I think I might like boys too."
Ron's mouth fell open. "Oh," was all he could say.
Draco was bright pink and yanked away from Ron. "I'm struggling alright. My father- well he won't understand."
Ron nodded, speechless. "But still talk to Harry. He gets what you're going through. You guys can like, help each other."
Draco shook his head fervently. "You see this?" He held up his hand. It was shaking. "I nearly had a panic attack just telling you. I can't do it again, alright. So keep your mouth shut, or I'll hex you."
Ron nodded. "Okay okay. Can you please just talk to Harry though. He's practically sobbing in there." He gestured to the library doors.
Draco sighed heavily but nodded and turned to the doors. "Alright, fine."
He got to his feet and walked slowly into the library. Harry looked up as Draco walked over to him, his eyes filling with hope.
Draco sighed and said, "I'm sorry for walking out like that. I just needed to process. I'm okay with you being gay or whatever. I just needed a second to adjust."
Harry let out a shaky breath and yanked Draco down into a hug.
"Thank you," he whispered into Draco's ear.
Draco patted his back awkwardly and pulled away. "Don't ever think I don't accept you as you are Harry Potter."Harry nodded and smiled. "Yeah, okay."
A/N: oof sorry for the late update guys. It's kinda short but hey, I'm writing. I also wrote some of this on my phone, so if there are typos or anything, I'm sorry. School starts tomorrow so I don't know how much time I'm going to have to write, but I'm getting into the good stuff in the next chapter.
