Corbyn's pov

Three days has passed since we left Morocco, I can memorize what happened in three sentences, 1- The girls don't wanna see our faces, Celeste speaks to me secretly. 2- I know literally nothing about Xavier and  I will not lie what he did kinda hurt me, even though he worked as our deal said. 3- We and by we I mean Me, Zion, Klaus and Issac are drowning in late work and our business is in danger, Xavier did alot of it and we didn't recognize that but now.

I'm in my car heading to work, got a text from Celeste saying that luna's situation is still bad, she has nightmares and visions every night, and she is disappointed in Xavier that she's almost dealing with depression, She said she caught Starr talking to Issac on the phone at night, he kept calling her, She didn't do anything to her, because she literally does the same with me, While River is mad like a river in a stormy day, she wants nothing but the book in her hands and Xavier's head in the other, As celeste said since they got home River stayed most of the day in their father's library reading very old books, while Celeste goes to the library every morning to kill time.

I guess all of our lives was affected by Xavier's choice.

I huffed pulling over and head to my office to attend the meeting the has been held too many times and we don't attend because of a sudden change in plans.

When I got in my office I found all guys in and they are annoyed.

"Hey, what's going on" I said and sat on Xavier's chair since i'm handling all the main decisions and giving the main orders instead of him

They looked at each other like they are choosing who is going to talk "Seriously?....No one is going to talk! Aren't we supposed to be in the meeting room right now!" I threw a lot of questions

Zion cleared his throat "The company canceled the meeting"

My heart dropped "Why!"

"They send an email saying that they don't sense sincerity in our deal and they don't trust the company enough according to our careless respect for the meetings so they demanded to have all their money in our stocks back" Issac said then gave me the laptop to see the Email myself

"Fuck" I clenched my jaw

"Do you have an idea how much money we are going to lose" I yelled shutting the laptop

"We know" Issac sighed massaging his temple out of tiredness

"All of that happened because of Xavier" Klaus said

"Klaus don't start" I hissed

"Don't shush me every time"

"If he didn't think about only his own good, things would have ended better" Klaus yelled

"Ok fine all of that happened because of his ambition that poison that is called the throne blinded him, are you satisfied now?" I yelled deadly looking at Him

Someone opened the door "Ugh seeing you fighting like little kittens is so precious" The last person I want to see in my life, stood there smiling at us

"Ezra" I stood up along with the rest

"You missed me I know" His deep, harsh voice filled the office

"Why are you here?" Zion clenched his jaw

"For the first time I'm here for something that benefits you!" He said cracking his neck

I narrowed my eyes "What do you mean?"

"Well Corbyn you don't just know nothing about being a real hunter you also know nothing about hospitality etiquette, you should invite me to sit down first" He said sitting down and put one leg over the other

I rolled my eyes "You are so provocative to be killed " I hissed

"If you have something to say, go ahead " Klaus said

We sat down and he started talking " The first announcement you must know, that Xavier got the throne" the sentence came out of his mouth like lava, the pure anger in his tone was so obvious "The coronation will be held in 4 days" he chuckled sarcastically "The empty throne finally is going to be filled by the right one, the one who is going to keep it warm and safe and blah blah" I interrupted "Well I'm not surprised we all expected that...at the end he got his father's and grandfather's throne" I said

"No, you should be surprised that he took it and not me, he took what was mine" Ezra hissed

"He delivered the wanted book Ezra, grow up and get over it" Issac said sarcastically

Ezra started laughing" Ready for the grand reveal!" He said between laughs

"Stop messing the fuck around and talk" I yelled

He suddenly stopped laughing and his expression went extremely dark "I know what happened to your father Corbyn" His words toned in my ear as I gasped standing up in disbelief "F-father" I stuttered

"Yes...your father was murdered intentionally by the fathers" As he said that I felt like the world has literally stopped and all the sounds around me is blurred, Zion , Issac and Klaus looked at me in disbelief

"What the h-hell are you saying?" I couldn't form a better sentence

"When your father kept involving himself in every bad thing the fathers were about to do, I mean he was just doing his duty well, but they came to the conclusion that the best thing to do is to get rid of him to have a better fate, when he was sent out with the army 'to search for the second half of the book' they knew that there was no book out there, they just had to make sure he's away from the castle so they can finish their plan clean, your fathers guards were his killers, they poisoned him then stabbed him to death, and when they came back they said your father was lost in the forest" He finished his thread leaving me boiling to the point that i can feel the tear that is sliding down my cheeks on fire

"YOU MOTHERFUCKERS" I roared running my way to Ezra but Zion prevented me "Corbyn please don't" He whispered

Ezra didn't seem to care about my behavior and continued "When I was 17 years old I heard The fathers talking about that in their secret room, and they caught me, I swore on my life not to open my mouth with these informations and in return they promised that the throne is mine no matters who will find that book at the end this throne will be mine...'just go Ezra and find that book'.." He looked so angrily hurt " And I did all the things I could do till I found that book and at the end they betrayed me" He laughed again sarcastically " I turned out to be the biggest fool even my father couldn't do anything, I was their second big lie, I spent all my life...I wasted all my life serving and obeying them, putting all my life in between their hands..I left the hunters nation, I'm free forever"

I breath heavily tears blurring my vision " Where is my father's body?"

"They tied his body to a rock and threw him in the waterfall by the river" Ezra answered

"JUST SHUT UP AND GET THE HELL OUT" Isaac shouted at Ezra

"GET OUT BEFORE I KILL YOU" Zion shouted

Ezra stood up fixing his jacket "You know what Corbyn...you turned out to be the smartest hunter who was ever born in this fucking castle, you didn't accept their custom like a sheep in a flock...you turned out to be the one who bought his life for himself, Congratulations to your brother for being the greatest dupe sheep" He opened the door and left
