This is the first part of the last(?) Chapter (I'll be making an Epilogue). It will be short.

Sonic's POV
"Faker," I woke up to see Shadow's silhouette standing at the doorway to my room. "Wake up. We have to go attend the meeting." I sighed inwardly. Only an insane person would attend a meeting at midnight.
But it's for the greater good... I told myself as I pushed myself out of bed. I put my shoes and gloves on and headed downstairs. Rouge and Shadow were already there by the door, waiting for me.
"Good evening," said Rouge. She opened the door and we all stepped out. Shadow drove, as he didn't trust Rouge when she could be half asleep, at midnight, and already almost killed us twice before.
Silver met us at the door when we got there and took us to where Blaze, Vector and Espio were.
"Today's the day..." Silver stated with a sigh. "Alright. So we all know our roles?" We all nodded in silence. "Good. So Espio will be taking the Tornado with Sonic. There's no point in trying to stay low. Eggman will know we will try to stop him."
The Tornado... Sonic flinched a little at the name of the plane he and Tails used to drive... and crash.
"Eggman is estimated to be attacking at dawn this morning. We will monitor him until the attack, then we want Shadow, Rouge and Silver all to Chaos Control to the City and fight from there, try to back then back into the sea in the direction they came from. Shadow had a Chaos Emerald to help make this possible. While they do that, Espio will drive the Tornado with Sonic on it to Eggman's lair. When Sonic is safely there, Espio will return to evacuate the city. I will stay here and keep and eye on what Sonic sees, so that I can then help him detonate the bomb from within the lair." Her piercing amber eyes based at all of us. "Are we clear on the plan?" We all nodded again. " Good. We must not stray from it unless if it's necessary."
The large monitor on the wall behind her came on. Now came the hardest part...
The wait.
But it didn't take long.
Eggman struck before dawn came... The plan was now in action.
