Alex's dad dropped you two off at the airport and said goodbye. After many security checks, you and Alex were finally waiting to board the plane. He was sat on the floor beside a vending machine, laptop balanced on his knees, editing a video. With you being here he had become notably inactive on YouTube so he had to make something to post.
"Smile, boyfriend." You called out to Alex with your phone pointed at him.
He looked up for a split second and you took a picture of him and burst out laughing at his face.
"Why do you look so pissed?!" You giggled.
"I had my headphones on, I wasn't sure if you said something or not so I just glanced-" He put his hand to his forehead as he laughed along with you, wondering how he must've looked for you to react like that.
"This is going straight on Instagram." You responded as you quickly began tapping away before Alex could stop you.

"I hate you." Alex said as he looked at your latest Instagram post.
"Love you too." You responded with a wink. He quickly broke eye contact after you said that and his cheeks went a shade darker.
Before you could start teasing him, the announcement that your plane was about to board echoed throughout the airport. He packed his laptop away and you two went to the gate and made it to your seats almost immediately.
"Can you believe I stayed in your house for a couple days and now you're going to be LIVING with me?" You asked Alex, still in disbelief.
"Your fault, you shouldn't have offered." He joked. "Don't worry, I'll be respectful."
You rolled your eyes. "Let's take a picture." You said as you opened up snapchat. He snaked his arm around your shoulder and pulled you towards him as you snapped a selfie with Alex. Having his arm around you felt comforting. Fuck. You really were falling for him, and falling fast too. You added a couple heart emojis to the photo and then quickly added it to your story before you switched to airplane mode.
He removed his arm from your shoulder and after takeoff, he pulled out his laptop and began editing again. Watching the scenery outside got tiring after a while so your eyelids began to feel heavy and slowly close. Your head lolled to the side automatically and found its way to Alex's shoulder. Just before you passed out, you felt a hand gently brush away the hair that fell onto your face and tuck it behind your ear.
"I wish you felt the same way about me like I feel about you." He said soundlessly, and then lightly kissed the side of your face.
Too bad you weren't going to remember any of that.
