SECRETS.....

I rushed out to help the boy and check him for any injury. Navya and Alya followed my lead. I saw the boy was unconscious with a small bruise on his head. May be he fainted due to the shock. May be he is dead. I was panicking. I looked at Alya and Navya for help but hey seemed as clueless as me. I took some initiative and ran to the car to grab some water. I sprinkled water on his face and he started to gain conscious.
     We relaxed. Navya looked at him and said," It's okay Nandu he will be fine." I gave her look that clearly stated that she was few minutes late for her optimism and moral support. Alya asked me to check if he is okay and then search his pocket for his wallet and phone. I was very nervous and before I could react the guy stirred and sat up. He had chocolate brown eyes and a baby like face which was kind of cute. I brushed away my thoughts this wasn't the time for checking him out. I gained my composure and asked him," Are you okay?" He gave me look that screamed hatred and I thought he was really hurt to hate me so much. I began apologizing and he just kept disregarding my words and tried to get up and just then his phone rang. He didn't pick it up and Alya helped him sit and Navya gave him some water to drink. Just then two boys approached us and asked him,"Abhi are you Ok?" Ok so the guy I almost killed "by mistake" has a name and that's Abhi. And now he decided to speak,"Ya Manik. I am fine. Just some girls shouldn't be trusted with wheels." That hurts. That hurts bad. I just apologized and frankly he just got a cut on the forehead, not like he was severely injured. Navya too didn't like this and spoke," Excuse me! It was an accident and my friend did apologize so will you please stop being so stereotypical." The other guy who hasn't spoken yet spoke, "Excuse me! Are you trying to say that we should be thankful that you apologized for trying to kill my friend?" His tone screamed sarcasm.  I decided to speak, before Navya loses it, "Look I'm sorry it was not intentional. We were just driving and all of a sudden your friend came in the middle of the road. We are sorry and I will pay for the treatment." The first guy, may be Manik, answered me," Keep your money to yourself miss. You hurt my friend and you are trying to throw money at us? Do you think you can always get away with money? You know what we are going to police." "Are you serious? It's nothing too big for police?" I replied. "Let the police decide." He said and gave me a look. Oh god. This vacation is ruined before it started.
     "Can we just give your friend some first aid before you guys decide what you want?" Alya spoke for the first time. The boys agreed. Oh so they don't hate all the girls just me and may be Navya a bit. Alya got the first aid kit and started treating Abhi and started making small talks. I and Navya stood aloof and were just listening. The guy who had a banter with Navya was speaking. His name was Kabir and he is actually cousin of Abhi. Manik is their best friend. They three were also going for vacation but they missed their bus and all their luggage was gone. They divided themselves and were looking for help when in Kabir's words *I decided to hit his brother.* I was going to react when Alya gave me a look. Irritated I walked away.
    It's not like it was a big accident or I did it on purpose it just happened. Don't get me wrong it's not like I was not sorry but the way the three boys were reacting it looked they hated me. I can't tolerate people hating me. I need to calm down it's just not the time to think about the past. Breathe. Breathe. Breathe. I was chanting this and walking back to the car with closed eyes to calm myself and I dashed into a wall. Wait when did they start making walls in the middle of the road?
    I opened my eyes and there I had dashed into Manik. I noticed his features. He had mesmerizing eyes with his hair just falling on his forehead. He had irritated expression that was so childish. He came near me and whispered in my ear, "Are you done checking me out?" That was a wake up call. I got back to my senses and said," Please. I have seen better." "Oh! So you were checking me out, you know to compare!" Arrogant much. " I thought you would have left by now." "Can't go without you darling. "he replied. Irritated I said "Watch it. What do you mean?" He had that arrogant expression on when he said," I need the car keys. And please I too have seen better" And then he bent down again and looked me in the eyes and said," Yes. I was looking. You are worth looking I can say that." What is his problem am I good looking or he has seen better.  Bipolar much. "Car Keys" my subconscious Whispered to me. Focus Nandini focus. "Why the keys?" I asked him again.

 
He gave me a quizzical look and said, "I need them so that you don't run away while I go and report to the police," I thought they would have given up by now and Alya would have handled it. I can't start the trip like this I need to sort this out but what the hell can I do?
