In Too Deep

The bell rang and Dior and I left and started heading to our next class. I saw the twins down the hallway.

"Hold on Dior let's go this way." I said walking toward them.

"Where you goi- oh your cousins."

"Vae." I called out getting Nevaeh's attention.

"Hey boo." she said hugging me.

"How's your first day?" Heaven asked.

"Classes are chill." I noticed Dior looking awkward.

"Y'all this Dior. She cool." I said introducing them. "Dior this Heaven and Nevaeh."

"Hi."

"Hey boo. You a freshman too?"

"Yeah."

"Oh okay that's wassup." Heaven said.

I felt some arms wrap around my shoulder and Dior's jaw dropped.

I turned to see who was touching me.

"Wassup" Cam said.

"Hi."

"You straight?"

"Yeah."

"Aight. What class you got now?"

"Um, English." I said.

"You seen Dash?"

"No why?"

"Nothin I'ma find him."

"Okay. Um Dior this my brother Cam. Cam this Dior."

"Wassup" he said noddin his head toward her.

"Hey."

"I gotta go to class okay?" I said dipping down to get out of his hold.

"Aight." he said and started talking to the twins about something.

Me and Dior started walking down the hallway.

"Damn that's your brother?!" she said smiling.

"Yeah."

"You related to everybody!"

I laughed. "You can say that." Speaking of cousins I still haven't seen Bryson. I made a mental note to text him when I got to class.

We walked down when I heard someone call my name.

"Damn you related to him too?" she said raising her eyebrow at me.

I looked to see Dash. "Nah." I paused to let Dash catch up to me. "Hey Dash."

"How you?" he said hugging me.

"Late for class."

"It's aight. It's the first day they gon let you slide."

"Cam was lookin for you"

"Word? Ima see wassup."

"You comin over tonight? I think my mom cooking."

"You know Ima be over there."

"Aight."

"Who this?" he asked pointing to Dior.

"This Dior. Dior this Dashaw-"

"Dash." he said cutting me off. "I'ma see you later Jay." he said walking off.

"K."

"Girl he fine." Dior said smiling.
