Vampire Hunter // Colby Brock

"They're there." Colby said as he put his phone into his back pocket. I turned around to face him and smiled. "Get what you need and let's go."

"Don't tell me what to do and I will." I replied sassily, putting my phone and keys into a handbag that I hung on my shoulder. Colby was both smirking and glaring at me. "Are we going in my car?"

"You'll see." He grinned and walked to my front door, opening it for me. I was still suspicious of what he had planned.

"Thanks?" I questioned as I walked out into the hallway. He followed closely behind, waiting for me to lock my door. As soon as I did, I felt him scoop me up in his arms then sped away with me. The world zoomed by before I could even see it. The night sky was barely even a blur. We stopped just down the street of his house and he placed me down, smirking knowingly. "Holy shit." I laughed nervously, tucking my hair behind my ear.

"I thought I'd let you get used to it a little before I carry you in there." He was still smirking down at me and I couldn't help but return that damn smirk.

"Thanks but no thanks." I took a deep breath. My smile wouldn't leave. That run is so... exhilarating. How and why do the hunters hunt them down so much? In reality, vampires are kind of beautiful creatures.

"Are you ready to go in there? None of them have any idea that we're even friends yet." Colby asked me. His arms wrapped around my waist and his head leaned down to be closer to mine. I smiled and stood up on my toes, looking into his eyes.

"I'm one hundred percent sure." He gave me a little smile then scooped me back up. "Here we go again." Off we went. It wasn't even two seconds before I saw the big brown wooden doors then even less time before we were in the garage. All sounds except for the music stopped and I could feel the eyes on me. Colby gently placed me on the floor and it felt good for my feet to be on solid ground again. Colby casually grabbed one of my hands and lead me to his beanbag, sitting down and pulling me into his lap. I was fighting the urge to smile and blush.

"Wh-"

"Not a word." Colby interrupted Mike. I took the moment to see all of their expressions. They were gobsmacked.
