Alpha's Unique Shy Mate

I was in a meeting with very important, investors for my company, when the door opened and the most amazing smell caught my attention.

I look over, and see the most beautiful girl, that I have ever seen was she walks in. Her scent was an unusual mixture of wildflowers and cedar.

I watch as she takes orders from two other tables, nervously. She then hurries out. Does she sense the werewolves in the room is that why she's so nervous.

I know by her scent she's human, and I know humans can have a sixth sense for things.

I bring my attention back to the meeting at hand. When I hear the door open again, I raise my hand and wave her over.

I want to see this beautiful human of mine up close, and personal. She walks up, keeping her eyes from mine, "ca. can I get your orders," she asks, shyly.

"I'll order a Coke cola and the famous steak and chips," I tell her. She nods and jots it down. I watch her as she goes through and takes the orders,just as nervously as she did the other tables.

She hurriedly leaves the room and she doesn't return. "Alpha Nicolas, what do you think of the expansion of the company," a consecutive asks. I look over the blue prints and papers. "Looks good, but I don't know, I'll have to think about it," I tell him.

Getting distracted again, as she walks in, with a heavy tray ladden with food and drinks. I want so badly to releive her of the heavy burden.

"Luna," my beta asks in mindlink. I nod my head at him. He smiles, widely, but doesn't say anything.

She comes up to our table and serves everyone their food, coming to me last. Sitting my food down, I can't help but brush my fingers across her delicate skin in a caressing manner.

I notice she tenses at my touch as the sparks dance on our skins contact. "She's not human, if she can feel that," my wolf says.

"Then what is she, she smells human," I ask him. He shrugs his shoulders, "I don't know, she's not answering my calls," he says.

She goes to leave, and I get up. Gently grabbing her by the eblow, "when you get off," I ask her. Still avoiding eye contact with me, "closing," she replies shyly.

"Wait for me," I whisper, and she nods, as I let go of her. Going back to the table, and sit happily knowing that I get to see her again.

After the meeting was over I stayed behind, waiting for closing.

When closing time came I went and waited at the kitchen door, knowing that I could go in if I wanted, but I wanted her to come to me.

"Mr Anderson, did that girl leave," I ask. "Yea she left out the backdoor," he says. He bolt into the kitchen and the backdoor is just closing.

"Mate ran from us," my wolf says hurt, " go after mate," he yells. I run out the back door and see her jogging away.

"Hey wait," I call after her. Instead of stopping she starts running, and I follow.  She turns down an Alley, I soon follow, but she's gone.

I smell around the alley, her scent still there, but she's completely gone. "I will find you, you can't stay hidden from me," I say.

I leave the Alley and hide in the shadows, hoping she'll show herself. After awhile a pretty black and white cat crawls out from under the dumpster.

I look at the cat curiously, as I've seen plenty of Alley cats here in the city, but none look as well kept as this one.

I watch how she shifts and it's her, my beautiful mate. "She's a shifter," my wolf says, proudly of our little mate.

Satisfied that she'll be safe, I leave quietly as to not scare her.
