"She always seems to be hurting." Hayley scowled. "She may be your daughter, Klaus, but she's not mine. I have no reason to treat her as such."

Klaus took a deep breath. "Allow her to be with Hope, as a sister, not a friend. This isn't about you."

Down at the table, Poppy dipped her paintbrush in the water cup, that sat in between her and Hope. It was calm outside, and warm. The two had been talking about painting and nature. They had a bond, even though they barely knew each other. Poppy smiled, painting the background of her butterfly painting a light blue color.

Klaus approached the table and placed his hands on the back of one of the empty chairs, looking at the paintings. He wasn't sure what Hope's was of, but he thought it was beautiful. He was glad that she had taken a liking to art as he and Poppy did.

"That's lovely," he told his youngest, and she looked up at him. He smiled down at her. Poppy also looked up at him, losing her smile.

Hope looked down at her painting, then at her dad. "Mom said you like to paint too."

"I do." Klaus confirmed with his smile. "Very much."

After a somewhat awkward moment, Hope grabbed a blank paper and set it down on the table in front of the empty chair. She sat back down in her seat and glanced at him before continuing to paint. Getting the message loud and clear, Klaus pulled the chair back and sat down with his two daughters. He grabbed a paintbrush and began to paint.

Poppy looked down at her own painting, which was pretty much finished. I don't want to intrude on their moment... she thought to herself. She cleared her throat and stood up, picking up her painting gently. "I'm going to take this inside to dry." She told the two.

Klaus looked up at her. "Poppy, wait." His first born looked at him and sighed. He had five seconds to speak, and he did. He looked at his second born. "Hope, there's something I need to tell you." Hope looked at him. "Poppy isn't the family friend...she's also my daughter. She's your sister."

Hope looked at Poppy, who was surprised, and looked back at their dad. "She is?"

Klaus nodded. "She is."

Poppy stood in the dining room inside, setting her painting down on the table to dry. Walking into the room to join her was Hayley, who wasn't happy in the slightest. Poppy turned around to face her. It had been an okay day so far. She was with her family, who seemed to forgive her for everything, and she was finally Hope's sister...so she was concerned when Hayley appeared to her upset.

"What's wrong?" The tribrid asked, her tone genuine. "Isn't it a good day? Our family's back."

Hayley lowered her arms to her sides, as they were folded before. "You told him."

They must have had an argument about it. Poppy rolled her eyes. "Don't get your panties in a twist. If I didn't tell him, someone else here would have. News travels like a wildfire amongst the Mikaelsons." She tilted her head. "He's my dad, Hayley, what'd you expect?"

"I expected for him to be upset with you, if I'm being honest. You put everyone through hell. You put me through hell. Do you know how hard it was to bring everyone back?" Hayley asked, stepping forward.

The tribrid scoffed in disbelief. "Do you even know where the tip on Keelin came from?" She also stepped forward, her face void of emotion. "I was the one to send it Mary's way. And despite what you may think, I wasn't enjoying an apple pie life with my kids. You have no idea what I've been through."
