School was an absolute drag.
Art and (f/n) (friend's name) were the only real reasons I decided to actually go. Two months to graduate and it still felt like two YEARS.
In my calculus class, I kept tuning out and sketching lil pictures of Nny's violently reactive facial expressions.
Smiling at my work, I felt glad to have someone finally make my life interesting.
But somehow, I'd completely forgot about the blood on me from the other night.I had so many questions to ask him.
The final bell rung with the annoying, head-pounding three BLOOOOP sounds over the intercom. Most people chose to run out the doors as soon as they could, but I chose to stay behind til everyone was out so I could leave without all the chaos around me.
Stepping outside the filthy fingerprint-smeared glass doors of the school, the air around me outside was eerily quiet. There was no one around. It was comfortable.
I started down the big steps leading down to the sidewalk.
Some kid ran out of the door behind me unexpectedly.
"Move over, retard!" He yelled and nudged my right shoulder, running past me.
"Well that was pretty fuckin rude..."
I thought out loud after he was almost out of sight.I started walking for about five minutes, until I approached Nny sitting on a park bench.
"Hey Nny. I'm genuinely surprised you have nothing better to be doing right now," I said playfully, sitting down next to him.
"Hey (Y/n). I'm sorry about the lettuce situation this morning. It was driving me insaaaannneeee..." he said tiredly, slouching in the seat.
I laughed, remembering how ridiculously intense it was. "It's okay. It was funny,"
I comforted, remembering what I wanted to ask him.
"Um Nny, I need to ask-"
"(Y/N!) You wanna see somethin COOL???"
He asked, shifting around to face me.
His excited expression made me blush and smile uncontrollably.
"Yes."
He reached over to one side and picked up something off the ground I hadn't noticed was there.
It was that asshole kid's head.
"Move over, re-tard, bluhhhhhgg," Nny held the head and mocked him.I really should feel terrified right now but it kind of answered all my questions. I mean, I was scared that Nny would do the same to me, but right now, I should be wallowing in my-well our shallow revenge.
I must've looked a bit scared because Nny dropped the act pretty quickly.
"You look tense. What for? You didn't kill him! Don't tell me you feel bad for him because there are far worse things I could've done."
"C-can I hold it?" I asked, visibly shaken.
"Yeah sure I don't care," Nny replied ignorantly and dropped it in my lap.
"Are you sure no one is gonna see?"
"Yep. May all witnesses be dooooomed."
I opened one of the bloody eyelids and poked the eye inside of it.
"I've always kinda wondered what happens if you just-"
I poked the eyeball in and mushed it around till it was a jam-like substance.
"You just kindaaa...do this,"
Nny was interested. He leaned over.
"That's rad. I actually haven't thought of that," he spoke with some enthusiasm, cringing in his seat, thinking of his own eyes."Nny, do you kill people all the time? Like more than today?" I paused and asked him, looking straight ahead at the park.
He hesitated. "Yeah. But don't worry- like-I'm not gonna kill you or anything," he reassured.
"Veeeery convincing!" I joked.
"No, seriously. I only do this to people that have done something so despicable or annoying that the act of me killing them is a favor for what others might do in the future if they kept on doing the said thing."
"So, you decapitated this kid cus he called me a retard? And that's worse than killing him?""Yes." He said blankly.
"I'm cool with it. There's a lot of people I'd love to have dead at school. I'd actually go to class everyday and get my shit done if they weren't around, so in the strangest way, Nny, I understand you."
I looked into his tired eyes.
"Wanna go drop this off the cliff tonight? Along with the rest of him?"
He asked.
"Fuck yeah. Meet you there at eight?"
"It's a date."Later-
I got home to an empty apartment.
Walking into the kitchen, it seems that Devi left a note.
"Had to go to the corporate office downtown today to see about a potential raise. Going to be there for two days. Take care of yourself, food in the fridge.
Luv ya,
Devi XO"
I smiled.
"Looks like someone's movin up thru the ranks," I thought.
Looking over at the clock, I was disappointed to see that it was only 6:30, but that gave me time to do some homework.
I could barely concentrate on the mathematical gibberish in front of me the entire time. That head was on my mind.
As much as I liked Nny's company, I think he might be a stalker. He knew I wasn't going to school, he heard that kid call me a retard...
I sighed. It made me a little paranoid.I pulled up all the blinds in my room and changed into some straight jeans, a band tee, an oversized cord shirt to keep me warm, and converse.
Looking over in the mirror, for once I felt kind of... cool. That never happens.
It was weird. I tried to not focus on it.
Time was passing so slowly, but finally 7:30 rolled around.
I left the apartment and got my bike out from the garage to ride to the hill. Never hurts to be early.
It was almost pitch dark outside. I rode to the cliff and saw Nny there with a trash bag."Hey you made it!"
He gave me a hug. His long arms could almost wrap twice around my body.
He quickly pulled away and motioned for me to come by the fence.
Opening up the bag, he dumped all the parts of the poor schoolboy onto the ground.
I laughed from impulse.
"What a fucking loser," I said between laughs.
"Right? Like, get up, idiot!" Nny laughed with me.
I stopped laughing to pull my shirt collar over my nose.
"Oh god. It smells like shit."
"I know. Let's throw the head first."It was really entertaining. Sometimes we could hear a scream from below too, me and Nny would burst out in laughter again and again.
"You're too much, Nny. If I keep hanging out with you I'm gonna catch a case," I chuckled.
"Not if I can help it."Finally there was nothing left to terrify the people below with. We sat on the ground and looked over at the lights.
"It looks so beautiful from up here," I commented.
"I know. It's an amazing illusion."
Nny moved closer to me and I leaned against him. My heart was pounding, but I could feel his was as well.
"I'm really happy I met you, (Y/n). I've never felt so understood. You make me feel less crazy, and I think that's a good thing?"
He put his arm around you.
"I'm happy I met you too."
