Arizona instantly wipes her tears.

The doctor opened Amelia right eyelid with her thumb and shone a light into Amelia's right eye to see how responsive her pupils were. She did the same action with Amelia's left eye.

"Is she going to be okay?" Arizona asks softly.

"Apart from the fact that she's extremely underweight, there doesn't appear to be anything wrong with her physically. We'll have to wait until she wakes up to know more." The doctor said.

Nodding her head, Arizona takes a slow deep breath. "Thank you."

The doctor nodded. "I don't know when she'll wake up. We just have to wait."

Arizona shifts and just goes back to silently watching Amelia.

The doctor squeezed Arizona's shoulder comfortingly and left.

The blonde was blaming herself for this, if she hadn't left maybe Amelia wouldn't be here.

Meredith came into the room.

Looking up, Arizona fights back more tears. "This is my fault."

"This is not your fault. This is no one's fault." Meredith said.

The blonde reaches up and wipes at her eyes. "Addison blames me."

"Don't listen to Addison." Meredith said. "She's just upset because she let this happen again to Amelia."

Arizona takes a deep breath and looks toward Amelia again. "I didn't want to force her to stop, I wanted her to stop on her own."

"Maybe this will scare her enough to want to get sober." Meredith said.

Amelia's eyes fluttered briefly but she didn't wake up.

"Maybe." Arizona says softly.

Amelia's eyes fluttered again, as if her brain was trying to tell her to open her eyes but her body wouldn't cooperate.

"You love her, don't you?" Meredith asks softly.

Arizona nodded. "I do. I think she feels the same way."

Meredith can't help but smile. "I think so too." She sat down in the chair beside Arizona's.

Amelia's eyes finally flutter open and she groans.

"Amelia." Arizona stood up.

Amelia groaned again.

The blonde instantly grabs Amelia's hand. "Baby, I'm here."

Amelia turned her head to the side slightly blinked to get her eyes to focus on Arizona.

Meredith paged the neurosurgeon.

Caressing her cheek, Arizona smiles softly. "Hi."

Amelia slowly opened her eyes. "H-h-h-Hi." She struggles to push the word out of her mouth.

"You had me worried." the blonde whispers, caressing her cheek.

Amelia leaned into Arizona's touch, closing her eyes briefly. She swallowed.

"I thought I lost you." Arizona says softly.

Amelia lifted her left hand slowly and pressed it to her throat. She was thirsty. She then pressed her hand to her forehead. She had a headache.

The doctor came into the room.

Getting up, Arizona moves to get Amelia some water. She returned to the bed and helped Amelia sit up to take a sip of the water.

"Good to see you're awake." The doctor says with a warm smile.

Amelia lay back down. "W-w-wh-Who... a-a-are y-you?"

"Doctor Cortez." The neuro surgeon says.

Amelia furrowed her brows. "N-n-new?"

"Seattle Pres." Doctor Cortez responds softly.

Amelia nodded once.

The doctor begins checking over Amelia and her reflexes.

Arizona sat watching silently with Meredith.

"We should take you for a head CT, just to be safe." Doctor Cortez said.

Nodding slowly, Amelia looks over toward Arizona.

"What's wrong?" The blonde asks softly, reaching forward and grabbing her hand.

"M-m-my b-b-bra-ain I-is b-b-brok-en." Amelia said.

Shaking her head, Arizona moves closer to the brunette. "No it's not."

Amelia nodded.

"No." Arizona responds, leaning in and gently kissing her.

Amelia's eyes fluttered closed.

After a moment, the blonde pulls away. "Nothing about you is broken."

"B-b-brain." Amelia said.

Arizona shakes her head and smiles softly. "Your brain is perfect."

"S-S-spe-eech." Amelia said.

"That doesn't change anything." The blonde responds softly.

Amelia nodded. "I-I-it d-d-do-es."

"Not for me." Arizona says, leaning in and kissing her gently.

Amelia's eyes fluttered closed.

"Okay, we're taking her up for CT now." Doctor Cortez says softly.

Arizona pulled away and nodded.
