Two years later...

Chloe woke up to a nice, cozy bed with a pair of small yet strong arms around her. She fluttered her eyes open and looked at the clock, seeing that it was half-past nine in the morning. Chloe loved sleeping in and she loved sleeping in with the love of her life who just happened to be the same woman Chloe fell for two years ago at a small café in L.A. That day, Beca and Chloe sat for hours talking about all sorts of things. They got to know each other really well and by the end of it, Chloe felt so happy and so relaxed and she knew she couldn't NOT see Beca again. So, the redhead asked for Beca's number and Beca was quick to give it and was quick to accept the date Chloe offered to take her on. That was two years ago and they were still happy together and most importantly, in love.

Chloe went to stretch out but as she did, Beca's arms tightened around her, pulling the redhead in. Chloe breathed out a laugh. Beca always did that. Even though the brunette sported a badass persona, she loved cuddling Chloe. She loved falling asleep and waking up with Chloe in her arms. Prior to Chloe, Beca was quite independent. She didn't like relying on anybody for anything and she certainly wasn't the romantic type. In fact, Beca hated romance and was disgusted by it but that all changed when Chloe came along. Beca was an absolute sucker for the redhead and she would have gladly done anything to put a smile on Chloe's face. Chloe was Beca's everything and Beca was Chloe's everything and as long as they had each other, they knew everything was going to be okay.

"Becs," Chloe uttered.

"Mm..." Beca grumbled.

"Babe, I need to pee."

"Hold it."

"You know I can't do that or else I'll be uncomfortable and that's the last thing I want while I'm in bed with you."

"Mm..." Beca grumbled again but released Chloe, allowing the woman to slip into the ensuite.

Beca rolled onto her back and stretched out, nearly rolling onto Chloe's dog Billie in the process. Beca wasn't much of a dog person but she liked Billie. Billie was very well trained and was the best dog Beca had ever come across. Billie had a bed of her own but she more often than not slept on the bed with Beca and Chloe. Billie was like their little baby and they pretty much treated her like one as well, mostly Chloe. Beca thought it was ridiculous but the more Beca got to know Chloe, the more she accepted it. Chloe was full of love and she loved animals. The redhead actually planned to be a vet and was in the process of becoming one until her movie career took off. Chloe was still fascinated by vet science and still learned about it when she had the time.

"Okay, I'm back." Chloe returned to bed and snuggled into Beca's side.

"Mm..." Beca kissed Chloe's head and held her arm around her. "What time is your interview today?"

"Two o'clock. I've got a photoshoot afteward then we can go out for dinner."

"A dinner date?"

"If you like."

"In public?"

Chloe paused. "Not like that, Becs."

"Why not?"

Chloe sighed. This had been an issue for some time now. Beca had been dating Chloe for two years now and in that time, Chloe hadn't revealed to the world that they were dating. It wasn't because Chloe was ashamed, far from it. No, it was because Chloe had never dated a woman before and the world viewed her as straight. Chloe had been seen with men but never with women so the world didn't think Chloe would be anything else. Both women agreed to keep it secret since they both wanted Beca to live a life where she wouldn't be hassled by crazed fans but it was more Chloe who wanted to keep it a secret. She didn't know how the world would react to her being with a woman. She didn't want the hate and she didn't want the hate for Beca either. Chloe's parents didn't even know she was into women. It was a sensitive area to talk about and Chloe wished Beca didn't bring it up.

"You know why, baby," Chloe reminded softly.

"Chlo, I don't care anymore. I want the world to know that you're mine."

"I am yours, babe,"

"But nobody else knows that. I love you, Chlo but I'm tired of living in the shadows like this. It kills me that I can't hold your hand in public or kiss you or touch you. Do you know how crazy I get when people flirt with you? They wouldn't do that if they knew we were together."

"I know it's hard, Becs but now isn't the right time."

"When WILL be the right time, Chlo?" Beca said, her voice harder.

"Please, let's not fight this morning."

"We're not fighting. I'm just saying."

"I know. I do love you, Becs. I love you more than anything but I'm not ready yet."

"I don't want to live like this forever, Chlo. What are you going to do when we get married? Or have kids? You can't hide that from the world."

"I know I can't and you won't live like this forever - I promise. You know that I'm worried about what will happen to you if I tell everyone."

"I know but I'll be okay. I'm a big girl. Remember when I saved you from those fans that day?"

"How could I forget? My big, brave badass came to my rescue..." Chloe rolled on top of Beca. "My hero."

"And don't you forget it."

Chloe giggled then leaned in to kiss the brunette, which turned into a makeout session.

"I still wanna talk more about this though," said Beca.

"We will. At dinner but let's have some fun before I have to go to my interview..."

Beca could never say no to Chloe when she was like this. Flirty Chloe was Beca's weakness and she was absolutely powerless to say no to the older woman.

"Twist my arm. Let's do it," Beca teased.

Chloe smiled seductively. "Good."
