Mission: Green

" you're doing it all wrong! No stop that! Hey!
" oh shut up, you're just jealous "
" you're beating my record!!!"
Lloyd and Jey sat before the television, playing ninja storm 7, where the battle between them was insane.
Zane, Cole and Kai stood beside them cheering/helping Lloyd, best Jey's previous records.
" come on Green! You can do it!!!" Kai yelled, holding Zane down so he wouldn't do the same mistake like last time. Zane laid onto the ground with Kai pinning him down, watching the battle go on, cheering for both of his friends.
" ha! Take that! Lightning storm!" Jey yelled.
" that's nothing " Lloyd replied with a grin and easily blocked the attack.
" that's not fair!" Jey pointed out as the attack had been thrown back at him, forcing him to lose.
" well congratulations Green ninja, now you only have to beat Coles record and mine, and until then. Good luck" Kai spoke patting Lloyd onto his shoulder.
« well Jey is out now so I only have the two of you left." Lloyd grins up at his friend. He couldn't wait to take the lead from them all.
It had been almost a weak since they had returned from the mountain temples, and Jey truly had recovered fast. It had turned out that returning his powers had been the only way to heal him, and Lloyd would have done it again if he had to. In fact, he would die for all of them if he had to. They had welcomed him into their life, not caring about his past or what he had done. He had become one of them. He no longer carried the title Renegade. And that was an honor not to.
Now he has become a hero, along side his best friends. He couldn't dream of anything more. This was his home.
" has Garmadon returned yet...?" Lloyd Asia as he gets up.
" no, he hasn't... I believe senses mentioned him being out, looking for something that might help us defeat overlord. I'm honestly not sure." Kai answered him.
" he's only been gone for a week, nothing wrong with that. " Jey replied.
" yeah, I'm not worried " Lloyd spoke. He looked down at his bracelet. Why had Garmadon put on his bracelet again? Was he mad at him? Did he do something wrong?
Lloyd was suddenly snapped back to reality by the voice of sense I Wu who called them all for training.
Lloyd happily followed the boys to the changing rooms, getting dressed for today's training, and as usual, Jey and Kai starts flexing. They were usually the ones showing up late. Zane was usually fits and then Nya being the second. Cole and Lloyd usually joins at the same time, but it does happen that Cole gets distracted too.
This last week, they had been sent out on lots of small missions like, helping out old ladies, look for lost cats,  driving some pizza and simply just being a good citizen in Ninjago city.
" focus!"
A stick suddenly hits him in the head. He hadn't been focused and now he was already paying the prize.
" sorry senses!" Lloyd apologized, quickly doing the same moves as the others.
" what's wrong?" Kai whispers to him from his left side.
" yeah Green, what's up with you?" Jey whispers to him from his right.
Lloyd shyly blush at this embarrassing moment. " it's nothing, I was just I'm my own world for a second."
" oh? Is there a girl!? Green has a girlfriend!?" Kai spoke.
" no I didn't! And I don't! I was just simply.... thinking of my favorite snack!" Lloyd lies. To be honest, he had been thinking about why Garmadon would take on the bracelet again. It was somehow bordering him.
" hey! Don't you dare touch my snack! My parents are coming over today as well, they're been here every day lately... but yeah! I'm saving it for them! So back off" Jey spoke, knowing Green wouldn't steal it. But Kai was a different cause.
" I wasn't thinking about any girl or your snack" Lloyd rolls with his eyes, but couldn't hold back a smile. He truly loved them and their humor.
" focus!" Once again, all three of them gets a stick hit in their head.
" washing duty tomorrow before sunrise!" Wu punished them. " you can talk more then." He then went back to training.
" damn it...." all three mumbled , not liking to get up early. Even Lloyd who was used to only four hours sleep a day had become lazy when it came to wake up early.
" now the monkey.." Wu spoke, taking the position as a monkey. Everyone else follows his example without any questions. So did Lloyd.
After the warm up, Wu made the ninja team up with each other. Using the same teams as usual, but this time, Lloyd and Jey had no problem teaming up with each other.
" one"
Wu began. He was making the teams fifth one another, and the winner on the team would move on to the next torment.
" two" Lloyd held his eyes on Jey, and Jey held his eyes on Lloyd.
" two and a half "
" seriously!" They heard Kai yell. And that was it. Kai's yell had distracted Jey and when Wu called out " three!" He stroke. Jey was down on the ground in seconds.
" not fair!" He called out, but the winner was decided.
" Green moves on to the next level" Wu confirms. Jey gave in and was helped up by Lloyd who had reached out his hand to help him up.
It took a while until the others had defeated each other, but in the end, nya and Cole had moved on as well.
" well done, the winners of this round is Green, Nya and Cole."
Wu confesses. Kai and Zane joins Jey at the losers bench and watches the next battle.
" all three, fighting for the glory of not having to do any work in the house for one week, the battle begins... now!" Wu calls out, and the three of them begins their battle.
Cole closes his attention at Lloyd who now we're already moving in his direction, ready to take him out next.
As they fought, Lloyd felt something move on his hand, but refused to get distracted as Cole was just about to strike. Lloyd created a green power force and knocked Cole out of the circle.
" Cole is out" Wu called.
Again he felt something sting on his hand and when he was about to look down, he was hit by a wave of water from behind.
" I'm still here"Nya called from a distance, grinning happily to get this far in the tournament.
" that's my girl!!!!!" Jey cheered from the sideline.
" I'm not going down without a fight " Lloyd smirks, ready to blow off the next attack, when he suddenly started feeling a little bit dizzy. The next wave came, and he managed to escape it, but he slowly started having problems with his sight. He even felt himself getting weaker. He felt drained of energy... what was going on? What happ.... then it hit him.
Nya sent another wave at him, and he no longer cared. He looked down at him bracelet and noticed the snake fangs digging into his flesh, just like it had done once before. Poison spread up his arm and he fell to his knees.
Nya saw this and managed to stop the wave just in time to not hit him.
She of course had made sure he wasn't fooling her, she had actually noticed the dark marks running up his arm, and recognized the bracelet poison.
" Green!?" She called out to him.
Lloyd held up his hand to her as a sign that he was okay, even though he wasn't.
Wu now noticed what was going on and ran over to the two of them. He hadn't noticed the marks on his arm until he reached them.
" oh no..." he gently held it in his hands, examining it.
" why would my brother put the bracelet back on? He told me it wouldn't be necessary to take it on ever again...." he told them, not understanding what was going on. Misaco has been working in the guardians when she noticed the weird atmosphere around them as the training grounds were more quiet than usual.
She pulled off her dirty gloves and left the flowers to look after the ninja. As she passed the corner, she noticed the small group around Lloyd who now was half way down to the ground.
She gasped at the sight of his arm. She recognized the poison in his arm as it was the evil work of the bracelet.
" oh no... Green..." she joined Wu and Nya who now was using Nyas powers to try and heal it. To some point, it was working, but Lloyd didn't feel anything change. The poison wouldn't be deadly, but if he got to much of it, it would definitely kill him.
" why would Garmadon do this ?" Wu turned to Misaco.
" what? No... he can't be doing this. I didn't see any bracelet on his arm when he left." And she was sure of it. She had actually looked after, just to be sure he wouldn't be the one to hurt the boy again. And she knew he wouldn't.
