"Come on, Ariana and Naomi! The taxi is outside." I called out to them while grabbing my coat to put it on.

We were going to the shopping center today to pick up last minute decorations for our Halloween party tonight, and I needed some extra add ons to complete my costume.

"Alright, I'm coming! Jeez!" Naomi said, clearly becoming irritated a little at the way I was rushing her. She hated to be rushed.

Ariana and Naomi put their coats on, as I turned to lock our apartment door behind us. Then, we all left out of our apartment building and went to get in the taxi.

"Hello." We all said, greeting the older man nicely.

"Hi, how are y'all today?" He asked in his heavy southern accent.

"I'm good, thank you." I respond nicely, flashing a genuine smile.

"Where to?" He asked, again.

"Haven Square Mall." I say.

The ride to the mall was relatively quiet, until my sister Naomi decided to speak.

"Do y'all think that Mom and Dad made the right decision by moving the family to California?" She asked.

"No. And, when she came into my room and told me about her and Dad's plans I was against the whole thing. I just feel like it's not the right time, I'm due to start college soon and now I have to start over in a whole new city where we don't know anybody." I say.

"I'm going to have to agree with Karina, Naomi. She's right, and I think it's even worse on my part because I just started junior year. Who wants to go to school somewhere that's always hot? It never snows. I mean, we all grew up right here in this city used to having snow around December every year." Ariana complains.

I shake my head.

"I guess that Damien, Angelina, Trevor and I are the only ones who think that it's a good idea." Naomi says. "We've been living in an apartment building our whole lives, wouldn't it be nice for us to have our own rooms in a nice big house? Just think about it." She continued.

I sighed "I mean, you do have a point. It would be nice to finally have our own rooms, but I still don't like the fact that it's California of all places. Why couldn't we just stay here?" I say in frustration.

"Sometimes you just have to be willing to have a few minor setbacks for a major outcome. You get what I'm saying?" Naomi says.

"Yeah." I nod.

When we finally made it into the shopping center, we went inside Party City.

"What exactly do we need again?" I ask Ariana.

"Well for starters, balloons." Ariana giggled.

"What color?" Naomi chimed in.

"How about the orange, black, and white ones?" I suggest.

"Yeah! That would be so cute. Definitely Halloween themed." Ariana said.

After picking up the balloons, I grabbed some black, red and white confetti and also a confetti blaster. This would come in handy for later when all the guests arrive to kick up the festivities. I also picked up the Halloween makeup kit.

I saw Naomi and Ariana getting extra add ons for their costumes as well, once we were done getting what we needed we went to cash everything up.

"Hello, welcome to Party City." The cashier woman politely said.
