To the Moon and Back |Horse Story| 《COMPLETED 》

I greeted her with a kiss.

"Is everything fine?"

I put on her halter and ask her to walk.  But she doesn't.

When I pull on the leadrope, she finally starts to walk.

But she was off!

We walked slowly into the barn. Clara was looking at Rosi and cam up to me.

"I think there's something wrong with Rosi. Can you walk her a bit?"

I gently pul and her leadrope. You can clearly see that she's walking weirdly.

Clara felt her front left leg and sighed.

"Her leg is swealing. She must of pulled a musle or something in the padock. I don't think you should ride her today. Just groom her, fill her hay and water. I'll leave her in at night."

"Okey." I say and look at Rosi.

It was heart breaking seeing her like this.

She was normally a happy mare, but now she was soulless.

I walked her to her stall and undid her halter.

"What's wrong with her?" My mom asks.

"Her leg is swolen. She must of pulled a musle. My poor girl. She's probobly feeling sad." I say and hug her warm neck.

"So what are you going to do?"

"I'm gonna groom her and give her some hay and water."

Then I filled her hay. I also showed how to do it for mom.

Then I filled her water and brought out my grooming box.

I took of her burgandy rug and started grooming her.

After a nice groom I put her rug back on and gave her a treat.

"Amber, can you give Mavis a lesson? I have some work with Lucy and she's learning how to jump 1 metre."

Mavis? Why does it have to be Mavis?

"Um, ok."

I walk to the indoor arena.

Most of the kids were all working at the front, but Mavis and Mix (piebald conemara mare) were at the back.

I walk all the way over there.

"Why did you come here?" She asks angrily-confused.

"Clara has a lot of work, so I have to give you a lesson."

"Um, no you won't."

"Yes."

"No."

"Do you want to learn jumping 1 metre?"

"Ugh, fine."

The lesson went fine.

Mavis was sort of listening to me, but at the same time, she wasn't.

I did have to hand her a whip as Mix decided that it was her lazy day.

Right after the lesson, I went to Rosi's stall.

She was fine, but not happy.

I went in and hugged her.

Hugging her made me feel good.

I knew she will eventually get better. She will. But now, as she's injured, it feels like it'll never end.

"Um, Amber? I think we should go home?" I hear my mom.
