Irreplaceable

Chapter Two

She laughed awkwardly "What?" she said eyeing him. He looked as if he'd rather be watching paint dry than be talking to her, which surprised me. Since she's... well, she's Ashlee.

"You heard me." He said gruffly she scoffed.

"Oh, I get it!" she laughed. "You're gay!" She concluded causing him to chuckle before replying he winked at me.

"Hardly I'm just not into you. Sure, you're hot but I don't go for girls who scream 'I'm desperate please screw me' do yourself a favour and leave before you embarrass yourself any more than you have already." He replied not even sparing her a glance. I choked on air and began violently coughing. He did not just say that. The class erupted into laughter. I, however, was still in complete shock.

She gasped. "You'll come around and when you do, I'll be waiting with open arms and..." She whispered something into his ear making his face scrunch up in disgust.

"I'll pass I don't want an STD. Just leave Anna." He spat I couldn't help the giggle that escaped my lips she huffed glaring at me for my slip up.

"It's Ashlee and I don't have an STD." She screeched before stomping back to her seat. The class erupted into fits of laughter as did I.

"What did she say?" I questioned, and he shook his head. With a grossed out look on his face.

"You do not want to know, that is not for your innocent ears." He shuddered, his face shrivelled up in disgust I scoffed slightly offended.

"I'm not that innocent." I shot back making him scowl.

"You mean to tell me that, that wannabe Calvin Klein model deflowered you?" he asked bluntly and my eyes widened and my cheeks reddened from the sudden confrontation.

"T-That's not what I meant." His brows shot up in surprise.

"So you haven't?" I shook my head "Never?" he asked again, and I again shook my head.

"No, have you?" he offered nothing but a nod. For some reason that didn't sit well with me, but I brushed it off and turned my attention to the teacher.

Halfway through my phone buzzed in my pocket:

Cameron: Hey babe xx

Me: Hi xx

Cameron: I can't wait for tonight 😉 xx

Me: I still haven't asked... xx

Cameron: Ugh ask xx

Me: I will, I will xx

"So, tonight's the night huh?" Adrian smirked wiggling his eyebrows I slapped his arm.

"It's rude to read my texts like that. Plus, what you've just insinuated isn't going to happen." I scolded. He smiled sheepishly at me.

"Why though I thought you liked him?" He said confuses I shrugged.

"It doesn't feel right, I guess I'm not ready... you know?" he nodded. I scoffed "you've been here less than a day and I'm already spilling all my deepest darkest secrets to you just like old times, huh?" I sighed, he chuckled at that.

"I guess some things never change." He said softly, the intensity of his gaze was overbearing so I quickly diverted my gaze towards the equation on the board.

"How was London?" I asked not looking at him.

"it wasn't so bad. I picked up a lot. That, unfortunately, included the accent." He said smiling.

"Don't you like it?" he shook his head no "I do it's hot," my eyes widened at what I just said "shit!" I mumbled.

"Hot, huh?" I ignored him causing him to laugh. "When are we visiting out spot Bug?" he queried I shrugged

"I need to ask..." he nodded as I took out my phone.

"You're asking now aren't you?" I smiled nodding.

Me: Hey mama? xx

Mom: Hi, Sweetie is everything okay? xxx

Me: Yeah everything's fine, can I go to Cam's for dinner tonight? xx

Mom: No sorry Mija xx

Mom: We're going out xx

Me: Oh, to where? xx

Mom: We're having dinner with some friends tonight cariño xx

Me: oh ok mama xx

I sighed. "I take that as a no" Adrian piped up.

"We're going out for dinner she says." He nodded.

"Yeah probably with us, my mum just texted me saying we're going out for dinner with friends." I laughed rolling my eyes at the smug look on his face.

"Great, so I'm stuck with you." I grumbled teasing him. He only grinned at me.

"That you are Bug, that you are." I groaned.

The bell rang and Adrian and I went our separate ways. I went looking for Cam to tell him the bad news.
