"My, my. If I didn't have (f/n) in my grasp, you'd have already charged at me, wouldn't you?" Doflamingo taunted Law, and one of his filthy hands cupped your chin. "How weak he is for you. It's almost envious."
Even though Kid was on your side, there was a pattern in how many people seemed to crave Law's attention. Sure, Kid hit on you a few times, but his goal was ultimately to rattle Law and poke him until he bit. Same with Doflamingo. Yeah, you just got captured, but it was for the pure entrainment of Law's feral side.
Just how many people has Law pissed off to the point they want revenge?
"He even goes so far as to injure his past comrades for your sake. Tsk, tsk."
So Law did know those wolves. Putting the puzzle pieces together, Law was likely in Doflamingo's pack at some point, but went rogue on his own terms, eventually forming a pack of his own. Of course that wouldn't bode well for any group or gang, but that didn't validate Doflamingo's penchant for drama and trailing you both wherever you went.
The other wolf bit at Law's heels, barking and chattering incomprehensibly, but Law remained rooted to the ground, refusing to pay them any attention. That seemed to anger the other as it growled and trembled, occasionally glancing at Doflamingo as if asking permission to tear into your wolf.
"Leave him alone already!" You yanked your chin out of Doflamingo's grasp, but couldn't get free.
The other wolf clicked its jaws with a soft bark. Whatever it said riled Law up enough to snap at them, to which they snapped back.
Doflamingo snatched your chin again, forcing you to look into the ugly stare from behind his sunglasses.
Then, Doflamingo glanced over and uttered an order to his wolf. "Kill him."
"No!"
You were shoved outside of the patio when the abrupt cacophany of ravenous snarls and thunderous growls erupted behind you. Unable to see them, you thrashed violently but got nowhere.
"Stop it!" You shouted, "Make him stop!"
He only freed you when he shoved you to the edge of the bar's roof, a devilish grin on his face. There was no chance of you running around him, and nowhere to escape.
"Poor, poor thing. Law isn't here to protect you now, is he?" Doflamingo chortled, capitalizing on how he cornered you.
"I don't need him to protect me," you argued, despite the fact you were pretty much helpless at the moment. "Leave us alone."
"Traitors deserve a punishment as cruel as the pain they've done unto those who trusted them," Doflamingo argued, attempting to justify this...this sin.
"Your little wolf used to be in my pack, you see. I cared for him after devastation took his family. Diamante and the others sacrificed precious time to train and season Law into the fighter he is today. But he always looked to my younger brother, Rosinanté for answers. It was sickening. So I,"
"So you killed your own brother?"
"He was a traitor!" Doflamingo snapped, and a twitch in the corners of his mouth almost brought a frown to his face.
"He was working with the government to bring down the pack our family built. Said it was corrupt and I was beyond retribution." He laughed. "But he crafted the path to his own downfall."
The more Doflamingo talked, the more you understood why Law despised him, and even moreso why Dof's brother tried to save him.
"So...killing Law and I will satisfy this obsession for robbing people of their 'Corazon' which nobody gains anything from?"
Dof grimaced at your sass, his brows twitching in irrefutable irritation and you could tell he was contemplating ending you right then and there just to shut you up. He drew closer to you, but you didn't back down.
"If you really cared for Law like you claimed, you would've supported him. Been there for him when his real family couldn't!"
"I was there!"
Doflamingo reached out at you, but your smallness allowed you to duck and run to the other side of the roof. Hot on your trail, Doflamingo chased you down but you couldn't avoid him this time. You shrunk into the corner of the curb of the roof and yelped.
But a brief silence and clashing of fists broke through.
Law!
Having shifted back to his human form, Law caught the ever-smiling Doflamingo's fists. But Doflamingo gripped Law's throat and pushed back, causing Law to nearly step on you. You took the opportunity to crawl out and give him room, scrambling over to Doflamingo and tugging on his arms to release Law. It almost worked until you were scooped up off your feet, stolen by Diamante.
His human form was as horrendous as his wolf, with long dirty locks and the same weird scar-like paint striating down his eyes. You bit on his arm which made him shove you, and you nearly fell over the edge of the roof. Law called out your name, but he couldn't reach you.
Doflamingo was smiling; Diamante was smiling.
Law could likely stomach a fall from this height.
But you couldn't.
They knew you couldn't.
