_________Surprisingly, the hallways wasn't as "scary" as movies make them out to be. It had tiled floors, much like a normal hospital, with the sweet smell of cinnamon, and pale brown doors as well as white walls.
The secretary led me to a door marked "165" and opened it. Inside it looked like a normal bedroom. The only difference we're thin windows at the top of the wall, showing the outside, making it clear that this floor was mostly underground since the grass from the land above was visible in the window. Placed just below the window was a bed with grey, thick, fluffy blankets, and 2 white pillows.
"This is where you will stay for your remaining time here, Miss L/N," The secretary explained, "If anything is needed, press this red buzzer over here and someone will be here as soon as possible."
"Oh, okay." I muttered quietly. She soon exited, closing and, presumably, locking the door behind her. The outside was getting dark and the clock on the wall showed that it was already 8:12. I didn't plan on staying up much longer so I sat on the bed and looked around at my surroundings. It was pretty peaceful here. I had a small refrigerator in the corner, next to a countertop with a sink build in. There were cabinets above it which I assumed were filled with food or dishes. There was a white door next to the refrigerator. I believe that is just the bathroom.
I was a little hungry so I decided to peak into the cabinets to see what was available. I walked to the cabinets and opened a random one. And it was so hard not to scream with joy. I'm assuming my parents tipped of the place about my favorite food because the cabinet was filled, bottom to top, with ramen. All be it, it was cup noodles but I was grateful for whatever. I came here thinking I was gonna be sad and alone without ramen for a few weeks and now I find the mother-load. I grabbed a cup, tore the lid off halfway, and stuck it under the Keurig and pressed the medium setting. I waited patiently for the water to heat up and pore into the Styrofoam cup to perfect the delicious noodles. The moment it finished I hungrily yanked the cup up, being careful not to spill any, grabbed a fork from the drawer and dug in. (Yes I did write an entire paragraph about ramen noodles, you can't change my mind that it's the BEST food in existence)
As I was digging in I felt the odd feeling of being watched. I decided to eat less sloppily since I don't want anyone to know I'm a pig when it comes to ramen. Actually, maybe that wouldn't be so bad. That's besides the point. I felt watched. I looked around the room when I caught sight of something outside. I slurped up the last of my ramen and set the cup on the counter. I stood on my bed and peeked out the window. God, was I unprepared for what I saw.
Outside, somewhere in the distance, I could see two orange lights facing my direction. I immediately knew what it was, but I tried not to freak out and just stare at it until it left. Looking back on this, I'm not sure why I decided to do this. Perhaps scare it away? I'm not sure. But whatever I was trying to accomplish didn't work. It stared back at me, appearing to get closer and closer. Oh wait maybe that's beCAUSE IT WAS WALKING TOWARDS ME. Crap, wait don't freak out Y/N don't freak out. Before I knew it the thing was sitting down in front of the window looking at me. I was so close that if the window wasn't blocking me I could touch it. Now that it was so close to me I could in fact tell it was male. At least I'm assuming he was due to the how his body was built. He stared at me, probably a similar way as how I was was staring at him. I burrowed my brows in confusion as to why he was here. He simply waved before getting up to leave.
That was an... odd experience? I laid on my bed thinking about what I just saw. That WAS real right? I'm not crazy? Of course I'm not crazy. Maybe there's a reason these things only show themselves in front of me? Maybe I could do some research. After all, my phone was never taken away from me so I could use that. Before I could finish thinking I drifted off into sleep.
