"Oh come on! You really thought I could just forgive you like that, Spinel?"
I looked at her, my eyes filled with anger. She was about to tear up but my anger got the best of me.
"It was a mistake, y/n! I didn't mean to hurt you and your friends!"
"You made them forget who they were, Spinel! It was frightening! I thought that they would forget about me..."
They were the only ones that I considered as family. I don't know what I would do without them.
"Y/n I-"
"Remember when we'd accompany Pink in her playground? You were her play mate and I was her guard. We'd always make flower crowns and play pretend."
I recalled as I giggled, my tears never stopping from falling. Spinel looked down and balled up her hand into a fist. She looked up at me with rage evident in her face as she stomped towards me. I didn't flinch because I know she wouldn't hurt me. When she was attacking the others, she couldn't bring herself to attack me and I don't know why.
"Listen here, Y/n. Pink didn't abandon you for 6000 years! She took you with her, made you fight along side her and even made you guard her son! You're so lucky and loved by her while I was forgotten..."
Her gesture softened and she started to cry. Was I too harsh on her? I engulfed Spinel in my arms and started tracing circles in her back in attempt to calm her down. She continued on crying and I couldn't bare the sound of her suffering, it broke me.
"I didn't forget about you, Spinel. She never told me about leaving you standing alone but I always did miss you. I was always hoping that you'd come back and you don't know how happy I am to see you again."
Spinel looked at me, her cheeks turning a darker shade of pink. I wiped her tears with my thumb and she smiled.
"I really am sorry for what I did. Please forgive me, y/n."
She apologized as she frowned and tears were threatening to fall, making her eyes glisten against the light. I caressed her cheek and she seemed to melt under my touch.
"I forgive you, Spinel."
She smiled from ear to ear and jumped around while squealing. I laughed at her childish behavior and got a hold of her wrist.
"You're still the same Spinel I loved all those years ago huh?"
"And you're still the same y/n I fell for all those years ago."
