Hey, guys! Four things:

One: I was reading some comments from all of my fabulous readers, and I noticed that I had published that last chapter in one big chunk. Oops... Don't even know how that happened...

Two: I was begged to write this chapter on short notice, and I can't resist the puppy eyes. This chapter is dedicated to @AryaMiriel.

Three: You are probably tired of the whole intro here... But I LOVE feedback. Comments, votes. They make me feel SOOOO good, and I typically reply, so it's a win win situation. Just tell me what you think after each chapter!

Four: Don't have the regular Two Towers. I've only ever seen the extended. So if there is some scene you don't recognize, I might've made it up or it might've been in the extended edition. (Btw, this chapter isn't one of those, I made it up)

Anyway, enjoy!

We ran fast, hard, and long. I was concerned about not being fast enough to keep up, as I was a pretty slow runner, but I found it quite easy keeping up with Aragorn. Probably because I'm an elf. Gimli did not. That's all I have to say on that matter. We stopped and ate lembas once a day.

I sometimes thought Aragorn had a secret super power or something for tracking hobbits. Now I'm pretty sure he does. He was able to put his ear to the ground and hear the Uruks running.

"Their pace has quickened. They've picked up our scent."

This is the first time he speaks in TTT, and I was personally experiencing it. In your face.

Legolas and Gimli were not far behind us (well, Legolas at least).

It was forever before we came to a wide green valley with boulders poping up out of the ground under a gorgeous Frodo-eye-blue sky.
It was truly breath taking. We all stared at it.

"Legolas!" Aragorn yelled, startling me. "What do your elf-eyes see?"

"There turning south. They're taking the hobbits to Isengaurd!" Legolas replied.

To Isengaurd- to Isengaurd! I thought.

"Saruman." Aragorn whispered knowingly. "Hurry!"

I started noticing that I was in some places too long. Like where a scene would've ended, there was just a bridge to the next one.

I was still with Aragorn, Gimli, and Legolas, even after I should've gone to Frodo and Sam and Gollum or Merry and Pippin (I never traveled to Isengard or Barad dûr). I started growing anxious. Maybe I'd just stay with this group of characters until the movies end. And what happens then?

Something poked me in the back.

"Hey!" I said, but on turning around I saw Gimli panting and sweating behind me.

"How-*huh huh*- do you ELVES- *puff huff*- manage to keep up with Aragorn?" He panted, plopping down next to me.

"Wouldn't you like to know?" I said, completely relaxed, and not tired out at all.

This was one of those bridges. Next, we arrive in Rohan.

"I'm completely exhausted!" Gimli complained. "I am wasted on cross country."

"You already said that." I laughed. My laugh was now strangely melodic, unlike it was at home. I thought for a second. I didn't really seem to miss home. People were always telling me that if I lived in Middle Earth, I'd want to come home. Because it wasn't all it was cracked up to be. But the thing is, they were wrong. This is exactly what I'd expected. Maybe they thought I hadn't appreciated all that walking or something. Well, I did. This is exactly what I'd expected- or rather imagined- and I loved it.

Merry and Pippin couldn't have been far ahead, considering Aragorn's growing persistence. He'd run and run ahead of us, and not stop until we (or rather Gimli) yelled at him. Whenever we took breaks or ate lembas, he would stare off ahead into the distance with a thoughtful expression.

This was one of those times. Aragorn looked very troubled. His fingers were absentmindedly playing with the necklace around his neck.

I tapped his shoulder. "Is something wrong, mellon nin?"

Aragorn didn't answer for a while, and I was beginning to think he hadn't heard me right when he said, "Do not worry about me. There are other things- other people- to keep your mind on."

Wait... Whaaaaaa? Did he mean Frodo and Sam? Pippin and Merry? Perhaps he meant Arwen. But why would he be talking about her to me? Argh!!!

"Like who?" I managed.

"Have you ever loved somebody?" He asked me.

Okay. Awkward question. "Like, my parents?"

"No" Aragorn said. "A different kind of love"

VERY awkward... So he had meant Arwen. Why was he talking about her to me? "Can't say that I have." I reply.

He sighed. "I just don't know what to do. Have you been to Rivendell?"

No reason to lie. "No. I want to go. It sounds beautiful."

"The one I love lives there. She is Lord Elrond's daughter. But she and her people are sailing away to the Undying Lands."

I could see the pain on his face. "Oh no," I whisper.

Aragorn looked at his feet. "I told her that she has to go. Be with her people, but..." The end of his sentence hang like a whisp of smoke in thin air.

"You don't want her to."

Aragorn nodded.

I had to force myself to bite my tongue and stay silent. Must. Not. Tell. Him. The. Ending! Not after what happened with Frodo.

I went to sleep shortly after. Aragorn said he'd keep watch. Gimli was asleep and snorting loudly somewhere to my far left. I saw the outline of Legolas's body against the stars to my right and up a little. His chest went soundlessly up. And down.

I had trouble falling asleep. What if I'm stuck in this bridge scene for longer? What if I stay with Aragorn, Legolas, and Gimli for the rest of the adventure? Merry and Pippin would think I was eaten. And the Uruk who bore me would surely be killed. And Frodo and Sam...

They would think I had abandoned them. Left them for dead! Sam would most likely cry... Thinking about this broke my heart. I'd just have to give it time. See what happens. I just hope it wasn't that...
