Isabella's POV
"Everyone makes mistakes..." I whispered, looking down at my hand in Drew's. "But, there are some mistakes I just can't forgive." I said pulling back my hand when I came to the realization, I was going to make a big mistake myself if I was going to let him wrap me around his finger with some beautiful words.
"Please, just one chance Bella, that's all I'm asking! I have feelings for you, I can't just shut them off..." He begged, this time completing to put his hands on my shoulders before I quickly shrugged them off. He looked lost, his eyes almost tearing up.
"The feeling was kind of mutual until you did what you did Drew. You'll have to live with the consequences of your actions. I don't want you to approach me, I don't want to talk to you, I don't want you near me." I said with a bit too much confidence which surprised me. I kind of felt bad for him when his words made his expression fill with sadness as he put his lips in a straight line to keep his lip from trembling. "Now can you get out of my way, I have somewhere to be." I said, my tone icy and calm proving my point.
He finally got the message and moved to the side, his gaze on the floor like a punished child. "I won't give up Bella... you're the girl that makes me want to do better." He whispered as I walked by. His words felt flattering but gave me chills at the same time because I wanted him to give up and they made me feel like this wasn't the last I was going to see of him.
After a small break at the coffee house and another boring class I walked home to my apartment to pick up some more books and toiletries, hoping to stay another night at Lukas's. When I arrived at his apartment, I took out the spare key he gave me and opened the door.
"Mia, are you there?" I yelled, not wanting to startle her as I walked into the living room, taking off my shoes and leaving them at the door.
"In the bathroom, I'm getting ready to go out with Jason." She yelled from behind the bathroom door, the thought of her going out with Jason making me roll my eyes. I was going to have to lie to her for just a few more days. Five to be exact. It was Monday and on Saturday Lukas and Mia would go to their parents' house for the weekend. Lukas promised me to tell her there, for her own good because if it wasn't to protect her wouldn't have agreed to it.
I flopped down on the couch, letting my body get engulfed by the soft and thick pillows, my head sinking back reminiscing Drew's words which were flattering but disgusting at the same time.
"What do you think?" Mia said walking out of the bathroom. Her long dark hair was curled in waves and her makeup dark and smoky. She was wearing a short and tight light blue dress, making her light eyes pop even more. She looked gorgeous twirling around in her dress. Jason doesn't deserve her!
"Shining bright like a diamond." I chuckled as she sat down next to me on the couch.
"Now look at who's citing Riri." Mia giggled as I admired the way she looked so flawless. Any other girl would be jealous, but I admire her more than I would ever envy her. She could get any guy on this freaking planet and still her own boyfriend doesn't know he's the luckiest man in the galaxy. "You like my hair? Gee thanks just bought it." Mia hummed with a smile on her face.
"Ariana Grande would be proud of you." I giggled when I got where she was going with this.
"I promise that you'll never find another like me!" Mia sang the famous Taylor Swift song and we both burst out in laughter. I was amazed at the fact she can't study a textbook but when it came to song lyrics her knowledge was on point.
"That's true, you're one of a kind Mia! Don't let a guy make you feel any different." I blurted out, immediately putting my lips in a straight line to keep myself from saying something potentially stupid.
